The L Word ended its run in 2009 after six seasons on the air, and there is a chance fans could see a revival of the series. Ilene Chaiken and the cast of the drama are all ready and willing to revive the series.
Chaiken said the following about the desire to revive the Showtime series in an interview with Entertainment Weekly:
“There’s certainly a chance. We talk about it all the time. When we went off the air in 2009, I think a lot of people thought, “Okay, the baton is passed now, and there will be lots of shows that portray lesbian life.” There’s really nothing. It feels like maybe it should come back.”
Mia Kirshner also spoke about the potential return of the series:
“Another generation is beginning to watch the show, and there’s such a hole in terms of the landscape of what’s on television and what we’re capable of doing. There’s so many other stories to tell that it’s crazy that this show doesn’t exist.”
Would you want to see The L Word return? Tell us what you think.
Yes, i’d love to see this show come back and if there is anyway to bring Dana back, it would be a plus. There are no lesbian shows out there, always shows for men. We need more shows for women.
Yes, I’d love to see this series return! Please, please, please!!
YES! Would love to see a reunion!!
I’ve got room in my schedule for more L Word Episodes. I think with so many other shows being rebooted, this is a natural next step. Who said you can’t turn back time? apparently in tv land… you can.
I have all of the seasons and watch them from beginning to end over and over I would love to know who killed jenny or was it suicide ! ! !
I would love to see this show return. I say keep the same cast and add to it!!
It wasn’t the best of shows but sure why not? But with different actresses
