TVGuide is reporting that NBC has unceremoniously cancelled Las Vegas after five seasons on the air.
Las Vegas debuted on September 22, 2003 and was touted as actor James Caan’s first series regular role on television. The Academy Award-nominated actor was cast as the Montecito casino’s Head of Security, ‘Big Ed’ Deline. Others in the cast have included Nikki Cox, Josh Duhamel, James Lesure, Vanessa Marcil, Molly Sims, and Marsha Thomason.
Caan left the series last year to return to his movie career and Cox was cut from the show in a cost-cutting move. Caan was replaced by Tom Selleck and it was hoped that the addition of the veteran TV actor would help revitalize the series. It didn’t and, coupled with the series’ move to Friday nights, the ratings dropped significantly.
Last year, Las Vegas was one of the earliest NBC shows to get a renewal notice. What a difference a year can make.
NBC has opted not to renew Las Vegas for season six. Unlike Friday Night Lights, Vegas apparently doesn’t warrant shopping to other possible outlets and fans of the series are left with a cliffhanger. The last two episodes aired last Friday and was first in the ratings for both hours, Unbeknownst to viewers at the time, it was likely the last time we’ll see the staff of the Montecito. Stay tuned! 
WTF! You can’t just end this show when it was finally getting good again and leave us with a “to be continued”!? This is ridiculous that you would cancel the show and not at least end it right! Friday Night Lights sucks anyways its nothing compared to Las Vegas! NBC has come to a new low for just cancelling a good show in the middle of a climatic part! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!
BRING BACK THE SHOW DANG IT!!! YA DIDN’T END IT RIGHT AND THAT SUCKS!!! THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST SERIES MADE, AND I NEED CLOSURE, YES I’M ADDICTED AND YES I WILL GET OVER IT EVENTUALLY, BUT CLOSURE NEEDS TO BE DONE!!!

you have to give us a finalle imaging the impact you have in the market went all the funs find out that the series is incomplit they dont want to buy somting like that man you have to finish the series a least finish the last one

I agree with everyone else. The last episode was awesome………that is if it was still part of the series….but the last episode of the entire series. CLIFFHANGER!!!! Its been one of the only series I’ve been into. And now its gone
I am from the uk and I loved that show me and my boyfriend would spend hours watchin it on DVD I don’t get when u still a money for the shows
las vegas was an awsome show i would like to see it come back but at least give us a final episode the way it ended its not fair to all of us the viewers
you finally get a good show going, the best soap apera drama style series i have seen in YEARS and YOU change it to friday nights, (when most the working class is not home after payday). So the ratings drop, You dont give time for new friday night home-bodies to see what us fans did in this series. I LOVED This show and am SOOO dissapointed to be left hanging….again. This type of move encourages me to stop watching/supporting anything from NBC. Good job srew ups!

I’m glad they cancelled it, welll not glad I didn’t really care any more. I was a huge fan in the beginning Season 1 and 2 some of 3 was fantastic but the show went downhill for me when they let Nikki Cox go and James Caan left! The LV writers suck! And put Duhlinda and Danny together also made it suck ass. It would be sweet if they both came back THEN I would support the show again.
What a brilliant series Las Vegas was. I’m Irish and so far have only seen up to the finale of series 4. We are still waiting for series 5 to start over here!!! Just read about the complaint above, that the PTC complained over someones bum been seen. I’m delighted this crowd are not over here, because we get to see everything uncut in tv shows and that means swearing & nudity. I watch the TNT reruns of Las Vegas EVERY DAY! I would love to see this show come back! All of the viewers were left hanging and NBC screwed up! They could at least air a FINAL episode!
