Here’s the TNT press release:
TNT’s Hit Series The Librarians Renewed for Season Four
Season Three of the Enormously Popular Fantasy-Adventure Series
Reached 5.4 Million Viewers per EpisodeTurner’s TNT has renewed its hit fantasy-adventure series The Librarians for a fourth season. The show’s third season recently aired its finale on January 22, 2017 and is currently available on TNT On Demand and TNT’s digital and mobile platforms. The fourth season is slated to begin later this year.
The Librarians launched in late 2014 and joined TNT’s The Last Ship as cable’s Top 2 new series of the year. In 2015 and 2016, it ranked among basic cable’s Top 20 original drama series with adults 18-49. The Librarians has reached 5.4 million viewers per episode in its third season, drawing an audience that’s six years younger than the average for TNT originals. It also boasts a strong following in social media, with nearly half a million fans on Facebook.
Based on TNT’s hit movie franchise, The Librarians centers on an ancient organization dedicated to protecting an unknowing world from the secret, magical reality hidden all around. Rebecca Romijn, Christian Kane, Lindy Booth and John Harlan Kim star in the series as protectors of the world’s mystical treasures, with Emmy® winner John Larroquette as their reluctant caretaker. As well, reprising the role that helped originate the franchise in TNT’s hit movie trilogy, Noah Wyle has recurred as Flynn Carsen, one of the longest surviving librarians in the series’ mythology.
The Librarians is produced by Electric Entertainment, with executive producers Dean Devlin, Marc Roskin and Noah Wyle.

What do you think? Do you like The Librarians TV show on TNT? Are you glad that it’s been renewed for a fourth season or, should it have been cancelled instead?
Glad to hear it’s been renewed! Now if only app on my iPad was compatible to watch it.Have to wait till season 3 comes to hulu. But it’s taking forever.Tnt doesn’t have my provider.
Thank God, tnt
Loved it, love the series!I wish it would continue….just plain fun! Sunday night is not a good one anymore….too many good things on.I’ve never been able to understand the battle, why not have the best #1 rated show on another night. Also you don’t have repeats on other time slots.
Thank you so awesomely TNT for renewing The Librarians, I simply love this show and enjoy watching it with my grandchildren online, I don’t have TV cause so few shows in my opinion are worth watching, I buy them on Amazon, please include purchasing when evaluating keeping a show. I love The Librarians!
Best news ever!!
Love it!!!
I’m happy that they are going to have another season. The group seems to be gelling well.
Tried to like the show, but just couldn’t get into it, too goofy. It’s a show I normally love, but maybe, I need to give it another chance. I’m very happy a show like this is getting renewed over and over, being a lifelong lover of all things “genre” if you will.
It’s problem one of the worst shows on tv funny all the tating outlets put Thier numbers much lower. TNT must really be desperate
It’s a very good show. It gets good ratings. I would have been stunned if it hadn’t been renewed. They just need to make the season longer.
I’m very glad the show is being renewed because it is so interesting and fun to root for the Librarians as they take down any obstacle in their way. Can’t wait for a new season!!!
We love the librarians ! We would like more episodes per season. Long live Sir Galahad !!
I am thrilled with this news! Not only do I watch it live, I also own every season. Happy Happy Happy!
Terrific news that there’ll be a fourth season. A big fan of the show and I was, frankly, terrified that the program managers at TNT would do to this show what they did to “Leverage” several years ago. A travesty. Can’t wait for another season.
So glad it got renewed. We not only watch it live, we also record it!!! Thank you!
