What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the TNT cable channel, The Librarians stars Rebecca Romijn, Christian Kane, Lindy Booth, John Harlan Kim, and John Larroquette, with Noah Wyle recurring as veteran librarian, Flynn Carsen. The series centers on the ancient organization dedicated to safeguarding an unknowing world from the secret, magical reality hidden all around. The librarians serve as the protectors of the world’s mystical treasures.
Season Four Ratings
The fourth season of The Librarians averaged a 0.29 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.45 million viewers. Compared to season three, that’s down by 38% and 20%, respectively. Learn how The Librarians stacks up against other TNT TV shows.

Telly’s Take
The fourth season premiered with much lower numbers than last year and the averages are also lower. However, The Librarians is still doing pretty well when compared to the other TNT original series. I’d usually predict another renewal, but TNT has been repositioning itself as an edgier network, and I’m not quite sure The Librarians is still a good fit. I don’t get TNT on my cable provider. I wait for each new episode to be added to Amazon. (I buy each season.) I go back and watch older episodes when no new one is available. Season 4 has not resolved the Uber villain conflict like previous seasons. But ultimately there has to be a Mega Uber Villian résolution at the final series end. Maybe season 10!
Renew it for a 5th season.

Love the show…bring on season 5! Bring Jenkins and Flynn too with Baird, Stone and Killian.
There really is very little quality entertainment being produced these days and it would be a terrible thing to discard “The Librarians” which is one of the best shows I’ve seen in years.
Quite frankly, “The Librarians” is one of two shows that I watch on any channel (the other being “The Good Doctor”), otherwise I tend to watch movies and older shows.
Hopefully TNT will come to realize that the show has faithful followers and continues production, keeping it in the lineup.
I’ve loved the Librarian(s) since the first movie, and the three on DVD…have loaned them to friends. Where do they get the Nielsens, because they must be missing a larger audience. I watch every week. They might have messed up this season the first two or three weeks by putting two shows back to back instead of spacing them put weekly
Please renew The Librarians. My entire family really enjoys it. Great family show and they are hard to find now a days. We will be very saddened if it’s cancelled.
I love the Librarians and hope it’s renewed! It’s a fun show to watch. I’m bummed they killed John L. off thou.
Keep it
Season 5 is a must, the show is entertaining, with humor and drama. There are life lessons to be learned in many episodes. A great show!
Our whole family LOVES the Librarians and have been faithful watchers since it’s start. And season 4 has by far been our favorite!! It would be a huge mistake not to renew.

Please, please, please renew The Librarians for season 5 (and more)!!! The show is clever, witty, family-friendly, intriguing, original, and just plain fun. They deal with everything from lighthearted moments to really tough issues, and they portray them beautifully. The cast has such amazing chemistry together and the character development throughout the show has been phenomenal. I really need to keep this light in the darkness in my life. Please keep the magic going!
