CBS debuted two new comedies last season. They cancelled one (The McCarthys) and renewed the other (The Odd Couple). How will Life in Pieces perform in the ratings. Will it get a second season? Stay tuned.
Life in Pieces revolves around four branches of the Short family tree and their sometimes awkward, funny, and touching milestones. The cast includes James Brolin, Dianne Wiest, Thomas Sadoski, Angelique Cabral, Colin Hanks, Zoe Lister-Jones, Niall Cunningham, Betsy Brandt, and Dan Bakkedahl.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
3/31 update: Now that season one is over, will this show be renewed for a second season? Should it be cancelled?
4/1 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated charts, please try reloading the page. You can also see them here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Life in Pieces TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
This is one of the best new comedies for the season. Great cast and very funny. Definitely a must watch.
I love LIP. It is laugh out loud funny!!!!! I don’t understand only 5 episodes. Super girl starts next week in its time slot.
Super Girl, it looks so old and quite dated in my opinion. Although, I am in my 40s, and remember when sitcoms weren’t so outdated, or did I just repeat myself?
really stupied
For one don’t try to make a point like that I think it’s already made and second, you spelled stupid wrong.
I liked the Life In Pieces pilot. But each episode has gotten worse. 4 stories is too many to present in 4 acts. Also, just didn’t care about characters. They’re funny, but no depth. Just caricatures. Compared to The Grinder. In two short episodes, I can already sense that these are real people. Seriously, don’t sleep on The Grinder. It doesn’t hit you over the head with jokes every two seconds like Life In pIeces and every other lame network sitcom. I really appreciate the deliberate pacing and real character development.
Terrible show ! Cancel !
I am hooked. Only problem is the time 830. It follows a non-horrendous Big Bang, that I have given up on, so I have to remember to turn the tube on at 830 to watch.
Otherwise a good comedy.
Love it !! Great casting – really appreciate it DOES NOT have a laugh track. If something is funny I know when to laugh – I don’t need a tv show telling me to. Looking forward to the next one.
Looks like LIP might be holding relatively steady after this last week?
Renew this show. It gets better each week–and this week it was hilarious. This is finally a compelling reason to watch CBS on Mondays and makes shows I can take or leave like Scorpion and NCIS LA stronger contenders for viewing.
This was terrible. Never watch this show. If you do watch it please stop. The world will be a better place when Life In Pieces is cancelled.
Did not like this show at all, won’t be
Watching it again. I found the subject
Matter repulsive. Where are our morals & sentence of decency.
To Helen….. ok, what’s a SENTENCE of decency? LOL Anyway, I thought the couple w/the 3 kids was the best… specially the part in the ice room @ the hotel. I didn’t care at all for the funeral part though. Too goofy.
Interesting comedy. Let’s see how it develops
Better than most comedies today, but still not as good as comedies used to be. I’ll give it another watch.
Was interesting comedy let’s see how it develops
I didn’t see the whole episode, but I saw the scene with Colin Hanks’ character and his ‘wife’ bringing their new baby home from the hospital was HYSTERICAL!!!
