What’s in store for the series finale of Life in Pieces? Recently, creator Justin Adler spoke with TVInsider about the end of the CBS TV show.
The family sitcom, which is currently in its fourth and final season, follows four branches of the Short family tree. Although they’re a big happy clan, that doesn’t mean there are no awkward moments amidst their funny and moving milestones. The cast includes Dianne Wiest, James Brolin, Zoe Lister-Jones, Colin Hanks, Angelique Cabral, Thomas Sadoski, Betsy Brandt, Dan Bakkedahl, Niall Cunningham, Holly J. Barrett, Giselle Eisenberg, and Hunter King.
In the interview, Adler revealed the upcoming Life in Pieces series finale was “never designed as a series finale.” So what can fans expect from the end of the CBS TV show?
Adler says a job opportunity for Matt (Sadoski) will test his relationship with Colleen (Cabral):
Just as he finally has a family, a dream job threatens to separate him from those he loves most. It felt real to us.”
The series finale of Life in Pieces debuts on CBS tonight, June 27th, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
What do you think? Do you watch Life in Pieces? Would you have watched a fifth season?
I’m so sad this is the final season for Life in Pieces. This is one of my favs. All the good shows are ending. All the crap being left on the air 🙁
I agree. I liked this show a lot.
One of the best sitcoms to come along in a long time . By canceling this series it proves beyond a doubt that the networks really don’t care about their viewers . I’m officially done with network tv .
I agree! I don’t believe the network cares what we want. This was a fantastic show, one of the best in a long time. It always made me laugh and I looked forward to it every week!
I thought this was one of the most original shows in quite some time. Not sure why it fell in the ratings but the show deserved another season or two.
One of my favorite shows. I would have loved a fifth season.
Funny and fresh. Some of the best the networks have to offer. Hate it’s over.
I loved that show. I thought it was one of the smartest sitcoms to come around in years. Acting and writing fabulous! I’m so annoyed that they canceled it. More reasons to stop watching network TV, they can’t recognize a good show when they have one .
Totally agree!
Mad as hell that the show is ending tonight!!!! smh
Me too! Argggggg 🙁
Loved it! Would’ve watched another season!
I absolutely LOVE this show!! I hate that they always cancel the good shows & leave the garbage on. I would have certainly watched a 5th season. They should have at least gave it a 5th to wrap things up for the fans.
Love this show watch it every week – so sad it’s ending
One of the best shows on TV. So wish that CBA had been smart and played out at least a 5th year of this show. Acting, writing and directing this good does not come along very often.
I love the show LIFE IN PIECES, all the characters are great actresses and actors!, Why would they cancel this show that is laugh out loud funny!, Please return the show! Always looked forward to great laughs!
My family and I are so disappointed that Life in Pieces has been cancelled. We considered it to be one of the best relatable family comedies on TV these days. I guess there wasn’t enough drama for some and why would anyone want to laugh? Sorry, I’m being facetious. We are truly hoping another network will pick up the show. Thank you while it lasted.
I agree with you! I am hoping another network or maybe Netflix will pick it up! It seems since there was no drama, death or violence, there was no place for it. It was a good family show with real family issues, made out to make you laugh and enjoy. Life is too short not to enjoy and there is enough hate and violence in the real world I don’t need to watch it on TV every night. I love the great shows like this!!!
I’m bummed this show got axed. I LOVE it!! My goodness get rid of some of those stupid reality shows and keep the good comedies. I will miss this show so much. Loved this crazy family especially Jen!! She was the best!
I absolutely would have watched a fifth season. I always hate it when a series ends without being able to have the proper send off.
