The Live PD franchise is gone for good. According to NextTV, Sony Pictures Television has cancelled the A&E TV show’s syndicated spin-off series Live PD Police Patrol.
The weekly series focused on the daily work of police forces throughout the United States. “Every episode highlights the daily life-and-death situations faced by Sheriff’s Departments, Highway Patrols and local Police Departments in a diverse range of jurisdictions from Connecticut to Arizona, ” via the show’s website.
Sony Pictures Television cancelled Live PD Police Patrol after A&E ended Live PD in the wake of international protests against police brutality. Live PD Police Patrol is being pulled off the air this week.
What do you think? Do you watch Live PD Police Patrol? Do you think Sony made the right call?
i loved watching live pd, that was really a bad move, i won’t be watching that channel anymore, not all police are bad with this ignorance ya making there job harder, asks ya selves what would ya do without them? ☹️
Horrible decision. Will definitely not be watching other A&E shows. This channel is canceled in my house. What live PD shows is police doing there jobs. This world is crumbling and falling apart. I watch the food network. People cooking doing their jobs. So , if an unruly chef does something someone doesn’t agree with… cancel food network? We bow down so easy now. Elmer Fudds gun is taken away! Paw patrol taken off the air… etc…. pathetic world I live in !!!
Dumbest decision ever. Neither I nor my entire extended family will watch another A&E program or purchase another Sony product until LivePD is back on the air.
This show and its spinoffs were more than just pro-law enforcement and had nothing to do with race issues.
This is a sad day for America when criminals are glorified and their supporters are able to cancel tv shows that show brave policemen with families taking violent offenders off the streets.
They say real life mirrors fiction…well this is the Mad Maxx movie come true.
What difference does my opinion make. Two million people each night would watch this. Then you, whoever you are, cancel it and take away the only venue that shows the good side of a police officers doing their job. With all the crap that they have to put up with. Like so much in this country spineless corporate America at their best
A&E…..I’ve stopped watching your channel……if you are that weak God only knows what you are gonna put on next. I SUPPORT ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT. If that hurts your feelings go see a doctor.
Big mistake to cancel these shows. Why would you stop showing on the job footage for an essential service? I’m disgusted with these networks.
Wrong call Sony. The only people you’re hurting are honest, law-abiding people. We will not forget.
I think it’s a shame and the wrong move. Why does everyone in America have to pay for a few? If you don’t like it then turn the darn channel. What if I said your face offends me? You gonna rip that off….NO. So excuse me if I like to support the police. Now there is nothing worth watching on Friday and Saturday night…..so what do I do? Instead of fussing about what someone else likes I TURN THE CHANNEL. How hard is that folks???
As an avid fan of Live PD, I can’t see why they would cancel the #1 cable tv series viewed and enjoyed by all people. The show not only depicts the everyday life the police have to endure, from catching criminals to helping people in need.
Terrible decision made by A&E!
I think it is terrible that we can not continue to see just how hard the officers work to keep us safe. This has been a very educational show for our family. I could not have the patience with some of these people like the officers do. WRONG decision to take PD off TV!
I thought the show was accurate in the everyday lives of our law enforcement agencies. They have the most difficult decisions to make in a split second and yet still show their compassion for many of the people they encounter. I watched these shows faithfully. I am still sad and angry they’re canceled. I hope another network will pick them up.
The call for police to wear body cams was a rallying point to make policing more transparent. LivePD and all if it’s spinoffs went a step further by using multiple cameras to show the entire incidents not just some edited segments of a partisan cell phone video. Sad that some elements of our population didn’t want to see accurate depictions of what police go through leading up to potential confrontation. Personally I’m boycotting companies that advertised those programs and refused to support a great lineup of shows. Caving in to lawless groups has empowered groups rioting, looting, destroying statues and taking over… Read more »
I think it’s a really SHOW shouldn’t be CANCELLED YOUNG ADULTS could LEARN a few things if you BREAK the LAW
Best show i cant believe it was taken out . Not all cops are bad There’s bad and good in every race . Need to get the bad one out and not blame everyone.
