The Live PD franchise is gone for good. According to NextTV, Sony Pictures Television has cancelled the A&E TV show’s syndicated spin-off series Live PD Police Patrol.
The weekly series focused on the daily work of police forces throughout the United States. “Every episode highlights the daily life-and-death situations faced by Sheriff’s Departments, Highway Patrols and local Police Departments in a diverse range of jurisdictions from Connecticut to Arizona, ” via the show’s website.
Sony Pictures Television cancelled Live PD Police Patrol after A&E ended Live PD in the wake of international protests against police brutality. Live PD Police Patrol is being pulled off the air this week.

We looked forward to watching Live PD every weekend. It was about the only thing worth watching. I’m getting tired of other people’s opinions dictating what people get to watch on TV.
No I think the public should see both side . The good and the bad . But now by taken it off it’s like saying all cops are bad and let’s hide what goes on . I am very disappointed that Live PD and Cops were canceled. I watched Lived PD every Friday and Saturday. I will not be watching A&E or deal with Sony. There are a few bad cops but the rest go out there everyday and put their lives on the line for all of us, not knowing for sure if they will make it home safely to their families.
When will the new show will start?
I will not be watching Sony or A&E again I believe they made a horrible mistake by doing this…but since they are taking are taking away my favorite show..they should take away any and ALL cop shows…and HEY WHAT ABOYT ALL THIS RAP MUSIC ABOUT DRUGS KILLING THEMSELVSES AND COPS..UMM YEA!!!

My favorite show. Friday and Saturday were special because they were Live PD nights. I was extremely disappointed in the cancellation.
I can Certainly understand why life PD and franchises have been canceled. However I enjoyed watching the show. It made police life real to me and more so it may be a better citizen and what not to do. It also brought to light a lot of what other people have to go through to get through life and and I can appreciate that even more watching this show. Please bring it back
I think it’s ridiculous! So now cancel everything Police related on TV? that’s crazy! No NCIS, Cops , Adam 12 I mean come on.
Live PD was one of my favorite shows on TV and I am not alone because it was #1 show on cable tv.
Why is my cable programming being subjected to this level of censorship. PD Live is a highly rated show, yet is being cancelled for “Office Politics”? I do not understand, if folks object to the content – don’t watch it. In my opinion some of the shows/movies aired could be considered “pornography”. I don’t watch those shows because I find them offensive. The viewers who find “PD Live” offensive can do the same – don’t watch it! Please don’t censor my TV selections, I am very capable of doing that for myself. Thank you.
I can not believe they took off a show that showed police work in the best light! No story lines just at real and raw good , bad and even trying to make a difference . Dancing with kids to buying a Christmas tree for a family who couldn’t afford it! I no longer will watch A&E or support Sony!
You took a show off the TV that shows what REALLY HAPPENS TO OUR POLICE when they try to do their job. We watched every night as Police are put in DANGER by people BREAKING THE LAW then how the LAW BREAKER’S ACT they have NO RESPECT so when they get stopped they CUZ out, Fight,Spit on Run from the POLICE. It’s SIMPLE DON’T BREAK THE LAW AND YOU WON’T GET LOCKED UP RESPECT THE PEOPLE THAT PUT THEIR LIFE ON THE LINE FOR US

Please bring back Live PD! Finally a show that actually depicts the life of a police officer on the streets. The good, the bad, and the ugly!
