What do you think? Do you still like the Longmire TV series? Do you think that it should be cancelled or renewed for season three?
The age group that you state who watch this show is off … both my husband and I are 60 and we love Longmire and watch it every week, even watch repeats of it .. can’t see to get enough … Please renew it for a 3rd Season, best show on TV !! I used to live in Montana .. and this show brings back a lot of memories for me.
A great show that has a special combination of the west of today with native american spirituality. Keep it coming.
I spent some time in Wyoming, it’s beautiful. I truly enjoy this show and would be very disappointed if it were not renewed.
Keep Longmire going, please!. We believe its the best show A&E has ever aired. There are far too many brainless reality and cops and criminal shows on today. Longmire is in a class by itself and should continue to bring more viewers to A&E.
Its been a long time since we really enjoyed a great series but this is one of the best can,t wait for for Season 3 please renew! Great cast awesome storyline and beautiful scenary good job we love it!
Wow, I called out you had a mistake in the number of episodes, that there were in fact 13 not 10 in season 2 and you removed my comment after correcting your mistake. I guess you can’t be an adult and take someone saying you had posted something incorrect. I guess they let anyone write on these internet sites and give out false information and then don’t even have the decency to own up to the mistake but hides it by removing the comment. I question the accuracy of any of this information. Don’t worry won’t be accessing this site… Read more »
I appreciated your pointing out the mistake. I removed your comment because, rather than simply pointing out the error, you were quite rude.
I disagree. I was not rude at all. If you write/post about something people expect it to be accurate. You should have a fact checker. You make money from this don’t you?
This is one of the best shows on cable and on prime time television.
Please renew for Season 3!
I didn’t find this series until the end of last season. It is now one of my favorites! Renew!Renew!
Renewed.
Love it …reminds me of all the old time TV shows …I hate all the reality TV shows
I teach a college-level course on the Western genre and my students study A&E’s Longmire as an example of a contemporary Western (i.e. set in the time period in which it is made). I think the show does a great job of interweaving both “Old” and “New” West components (episode 4 in Season 2 was a great example of such). Here’s hoping it continues to build an audience – an adult contemporary Western on TV today is a good thing!

Numbers mean nothing today. Demographics and show costs are what cable networks (and CBS, NBC, ABC, and FOX) look at to make decisions on show renewals. Sometimes, personal (meaning executives) favorites will continue despite any other criteria (Fringe was an example of this). Longmire is an excellent, intelligent show, arguably the best A&E has ever carried (until the spectacular Bates Motel, that is). Keeping this in mind, the numbers above are very high (despite a continuous downward slip) for a small network like A&E and I am betting they will renew Longmire, but cancel the less popular and aging Glades,… Read more »
I hope Longmire gets renewed. It’s currently my favorite and the only show I watch on A&E and one of the few shows worth watching. I disagree about Bates Motel, pretty disgusting show in my opinion, I think is has some fine acting talent but the content is not something worth my time watching. I think Longmire is on the wrong cable network given A&E’s immersion is fake reality shows. I don’t think they know what quality drama really is and is doing Longmire a disservice and not promoting it enough. Longmire should not be a summer series better suited… Read more »
Please please please keep this show coming! In a TV world comprised mainly of Doctors, lawyers or city cops, Longmire is the exception with believable characters. Sure I know it’s a cop show as well but it doesn’t feel cookie cutter, it’s unique.
The wife and I have been hooked on this show from the beginning of season 1. I can’t put my finger as to why, but we are avid fans. It was a painfully long wait for season 2 to start, but it was well worth it. Keep up the great job A&E.
This is a thoroughly engaging show with a character all it’s own that’s a refreshing break from most other crime dramas that are stamped from the same mold. Its gritty western setting and skillful group of actors, particularly Robert Taylor, have made me a big fan. I could do with more story amongst the regulars and less gruesome crime, done to death everywhere else on TV, but I’m hooked.
I like this show. The actors are great. It’s different. The characters are unique, but believable. It moves a little slow, but I’m fascinated with the Indian culture and that part of the country.
