TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Longmire is one great show…………Lets keep it!
should be kept, renewed, continued; the only smart entertainment not on pbs.
jack
I love the series Longmire but hate that it was cancelled by A&E so now I must firgure out how to pick it up on Netflix which I hate paying more money for but again love Longmire.
I watch little T.V. But I do enjoy this show and to remove it for demographics is stupid. Most likely the only thing worth watching on A & E. I don’t need netflix thank you very much!
This is a great show. It’s kind of a modern day Western with good stories about
the Indians. Interesting characters. Longmire is not a slicked up, smart alec sheriff.
Also, Robert Taylor would make a great Jack Reacher as opposed to Tom Cruise(yuck).
Please don’t cancel this wonderful show! I just found it and caught up with all the series with Netflex. We love it!
I don’t think it should be canceled it was one of the best shows on television. It had enough mystery and suspense in it to keep you glued to the tube for the entire show. It was great clean entertainment for everyone.
Not sure why we are still commenting on this, because Netflix has picked it up. We will be watching season 4 next year.
Coodo’s to Netflix.
Why would you take Longmier is one of the best show’s my husband and I have seen in a long time. It is a clean show that you can sit and watch without all the degrading other shows that are on TV today. You take this and you’ll lose us as viewer’s.
If you ( A&E) are so intent upon basing your STUPID decision to cancel Longmire due to demographic ratings of ages 18-49, you might want to wake up to the fact that there are millions of “baby boomers” craving some TV with great actors, good story lines and intelligence!!!
Agreed. The way things are, my husband & I are the ones buying things for children and grandchildren in the 18 – 49 age range.
this is one of the best shows on tv. great actors! i guess if it was a stupid ass cooking show or show about ****** etc. you would keep them. i will never watch a&e again. long mire is the only reason i watched a&e anyway. hats off to netflix!!!!!!
I love this show. There are not may shows I can watch and enjoy so please keep this show on. It is one of the best I have seen in a long time. Most shows are not worth watching but this one is. Keep it on. Do not cancel it please.
One of the best shows on television. Shame on A&E for dropping this show! It had believable characters and realistic story lines. I agree that it has been one of the few shows worth sitting down to watch. I’m so disgusted that this quality show was dropped by a channel that I once respected for having some intelligence in what is chose to show.
HARD WAITING FOR THE NEXT , LOVE ALL THE CAST, BRING BACK PLE.
Best show on TV bring it back
Longmire is one of the best shows on TV, let alone on A&E.
With all of the channels that are now available, there are only a few left that actually have
programming worth watching.
Longmire is one of the best programs on TV. The Characters are interesting, the plot keeps changing and never gets dull, and the scenery is beautiful, to say the least.
PLEASE BRING IT BACK!
