TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Longmire is a well written and very popular show. It is starting to look like our tv networks are like Congress….do any thing rather than listen to the people! Thank you NetFlix! I will continue to subscribe!
Please don’t cancel Longmire! It is well written, it has a strong story line, and so much potential!. PLEASE!!!!

I really enjoyed the Lomgmire show. Why was it removed?
This is one of the BEST TV Series on. I can’t believe you would cancel this OVER some of the STUPID REALITY shows that dominate the networks. This is a fantastically good show and my husband and I have watched all episodes and have them recorded to re-watch. This show has so much potential and could run as long as Happy Days ! It’s so hard to find good quality programs. Please RETHINK your choice of canceling.
It has been such a disappointment to hear that you are cancelling the series. Longmire is the best show A&E has had on TV. The actors are the BEST and the story line couldn’t be better. Why in the world do you feel you need to cancel it. I am in my 70’s, but age has nothing to do with your watchers. Think of all the great westerns that have been on TV. The small town people that know everyone, yet someone gets killed or faces a town mob. People that want to take charge of their own punishments for… Read more »
Yes, please do return this show. I like the good characters, and hate the bad ones. What more can you ask of a one hour TV show?
Absolutely marvelous show. Can’t wait to see more. The whole family watches it.
Longmire is not only my favorite TV show it’s the only one I relate to so the only one I watch. A@E or Netflix, I don’t care just keep it on. THANKS!
My wife and I never missed an episode. Very disapointed it was canceled. If you do wisely decide to air it again I would hope it is on AandE channel. Thank you,
love this show and was hurt that A&E are canceling long mire because of age watching that is so wrong i never missed a show and have been waiting for season 4 to begin. i,m 64 maybe if i was 18 or 30 it would,nt get cut please put it back on.
I was just reading about shows that where renewed and that have a lower fan rating ,then Longmire , and these shows are on major networks. How lame isA&E
Please keep longmire A&E I can’t afford netflex and directtv I love longmire .
We love the show Longmire… Every time we find a show we like networks cancel them. Here is another example. Great show has a long run potential. So what are you going to do give us another reality show, we can’t stand?????
I truly enjoyed watching Longmire on A & E. Why did it have to be cancelled and picked-up by Netflix. Not everyone wants to pay to get Netflix. Bring it back to A & E!!!!
Why would you do that to Longmier ? One of the best shows we’ve had . Do you think people over 65 never buy anything!!!! Give us more credit than that!!!
Cancelled really! That is the best show ever. Renew .
