From OWN:
LOS ANGELES – Continuing its successful partnership with prolific producer Tyler Perry, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announced today a 38-episode order for a new comedy series from Perry, “The Paynes,” a spin-off of his popular series “House of Payne.” The network has also ordered 44 additional episodes of Perry’s hit OWN drama series “The Haves and the Have Nots” and 18 episodes of “If Loving You is Wrong.”
Written, directed and produced by Tyler Perry, “The Paynes” meets back up with Curtis and Ella Payne (stars LaVan Davis and Cassi Davis reprising their roles) who are trying to enjoy their retirement in Florida only to get roped into a real estate deal that will tumble their lives like clothes in a dryer. The comedy has begun production at the new Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta and will premiere on OWN in 2018.
Additionally, the network announced the final seasons of Perry’s popular comedy series “Love Thy Neighbor” and “For Better or Worse,” which will both move to Saturday nights. “Love Thy Neighbor” will premiere its fourth season on Saturday, March 4 with back-to-back episodes at 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. “For Better or Worse” will premiere its sixth season on Saturday, June 10 with back-to-back episodes at 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. Both series will air through 2017 with 22 and 20 episodes respectively.
“Tyler has been an incredible collaborator, a great partner and has an unprecedented track record of success with his hit scripted series,” said Erik Logan, president, OWN. “Tyler’s shows are must see TV for his loyal audience and we are excited to offer up a brand-new comedy and more episodes of their favorite Tyler dramas on OWN. We also would like to thank the entire casts of both ‘Love Thy Neighbor’ and ‘For Better or Worse’ who have given us loads of laughs over the years. Both series have had great runs and we appreciate everyone’s hard work and dedication.”
The January 3 season premiere of “The Haves and the Have Nots” (Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT) delivered 3.6 million viewers (L+3) and ranked as the night’s #1 cable telecast for women. Series descriptions and air dates below:

The series also stars Jackée Harry, Stephanie Charles, Markice Moore, JD McCrary and Sanai Victoria.
“THE HAVES AND THE HAVE NOTS” (Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT) – The one-hour drama follows the tangled lives of the wealthy Cryer and Harrington families and the poor Young family. In its fourth season, which premiered January 3 as the night’s #1 cable telecast for women, “The Haves and the Have Nots” continues to heat up as Hanna (Crystal R. Fox), the moral conscience, is tested like never before. Hanna and her son, Benny, (Tyler Lepley) are stripped of everything they have once Candace’s (Tika Sumpter) latest hustle fails miserably.

On the surface, they are true-to-life, relatable people – raising children, working jobs, finding and maintaining romance – but just below the veneer of happiness, their lives are entangled by heartbreak, deceit and lies that threaten to destroy everything. Throughout the season, “If Loving You Is Wrong” continues to follow Alex (Amanda Clayton), Kelly (Edwina Findley Dickerson), Marcie (Heather Hemmens), Esperanza (Zulay Henao) and Natalie (April Parker Jones) on their quest to find love in the midst of managing very complex lives. For these women, love is an ever-present necessity in spite of the high price that sometimes must be paid.
“LOVE THY NEIGHBOR” (Final Season Premieres Saturday, March 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT) – The half-hour comedy is set at The Love Train Diner, a family run restaurant where every day the menu serves up good food, great laughs, valuable life lessons and a whole lot of love. “FOR BETTER OR WORSE” (Final Season Premieres Saturday, June 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT) – The popular comedy series follows the ups and downs of dating and marriage and centers on Angela Williams (Tasha Smith), the owner of a successful beauty salon, and her husband of 13 years, Marcus (Michael Jai White). The series also stars Crystle Stewart, Jason Olive, Kent Faulcon, Kiki Haynes Cocoa Brown and Brad James.
“The Paynes,” “The Haves and the Have Nots,” “If Loving You is Wrong,” “Love Thy Neighbor” and “For Better or Worse” are created, written, directed and executive produced by Tyler Perry and produced for OWN by Tyler Perry Studios.”

That’s what LTN does for me! Ms. Hattie and the crew are my Saturday dose of relax, release, and relate. Please reconsider. Really loved the finale of Season 5! Perhaps a spinoff with Drew and Sam! Hmmm… Whatever the decision, God bless you, Mr. Perry (and OWN), for filling our hearts and homes with beautiful laughter. Always a little something for everyone to appreciate and embrace.

I am very sad to see love thy neighbor, For Better or For Worst leaving OWN. I like comedy and the other 2 have to much killing and drama going on in their time slots. Ms Oprah could cancel some of the other Repeats that she have on OWN, like Under Cover Boss and Dr Phil and etc. Now that she, not ordering these show it want be hard for me to cut basic plus on cable, because I have to Pay extra to make sure that I see my favorite shows like sweetie pie, love thy neighbor, for better… Read more »

I can’t believe that it’s ending. Sine this is a real down to Earth sitcom. And a lot of people can relate going to your favorite place for lunch, and a lot of time it’s not all about the food but the people that work there. So I’m just going to pray and hope he’s able to bring it back.
Tyler Perry we want Ms.Hatty(LTN)BACK..PLEASE
I am very sorry to hear Love thy Neighbor will not return. The cast is amazing offering many laughs, Why when a great show appears it is cancelled. I hope Mr, Perry will create another show including these wonderful actors. Own needs to look at their decision again, Listen to your viewers or soon you will loose them all.

I think it will be a great loss to the TV stations to lose a very good and funny series. I love the show and the people. Hattie is a very funny young lady and that is what the world needs now and days. I love comedy and romance and to see that in color people is a good thing. I am very sad to see Love Thy Neighbor leave 🙁 My husband and myself were talking about it when The Haves and The Have Not’s came back on and we didn’t see that Love Thy Neighbor was scheduled to come on. I was hoping that it was not gone for good, but starting late. Now I know that my fears are confirmed, but at least I have one more season!!! 🙂 I love Tyler Perry’s sitcoms and movies!
Yes, the show is very enjoyable especially for the elderly. The situations that are presented; even though nutty, offers a great deal of laughter and joy for senior citizens.
LTN was one if not the best show on Own..don’t take it away just go to another network..TLC
I am very sad and disappointed that Love Thy Neighbor is coming to a end, I d0n’t understand why I love that show, with all the crap that is on TV, that was the one show, I looked forward to, and it made me relax and laugh after a long hard day, it was clean fun, the whole family could enjoy, I am a 70 year old woman, who told my 3 grandkids ages 10, 8, and 5 about the show, and they with my daughter their mother, watched it and loved it. We are all sad to see it go.
I am disappointed to hear that Love Thy Neighbor is cancelled. I love watching this show. I can’t for each season premier. Where are seasons 1 and 2? I can’t find them on On Demand.
Hi Lisa, I too am disappointed to see both sitcoms going. I have been able to watcch the previous seasons on On Demand, if you have Comcast they are not hard to find. For Better or Worse is not on On Demand. Since they been on the OWN Channel they have been hard to watch on different stations.
That’s messed up and some straight bull****. You start great shiws and now you cancelling them. So not cool Tyler Perry.
Love LTN..I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A SITCOM WITH HATTY AND MADEA TOGETHER
I’m happy house of Payne is coming back but I will like to keep love thy neighbor and for better or for worst
Take our shows to another Network.. Please
SAD..SAD..SAD.. GBYAA
