FOX is going to Hell … again. Today, the network announced they’ve renewed Lucifer for a second season, Variety reports.
The drama stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, the fallen angel who has left his post in Hell to run a Los Angeles nightclub. Lauren German, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, D. B. Woodside, and Scarlett Estevez also star.
Lucifer premiered to favorable ratings, earning a 2.43 in the 18-49 demo and 7.156 million viewers with its January debut. And while ratings have dropped off significantly since then, with an average of 1.55 in the 18-49 demo and around 4.820 million viewers, the series is still one of FOX’s stronger performers.

We knew we had something special with ‘Lucifer,’ from the engaging performances of Tom, Lauren and the rest of the charismatic cast, to Len Wiseman’s visually stunning look of the show and the amazing storytelling savvy of the Bruckheimer team.”
Today, FOX also renewed Rosewood for a second season.

Lucifer is the best show on Fox. Glad it’s been renewed. I am 62 so probably not the normal demographic but Tom Ellis makes the show. Keep up the good work Fox!!

I think this is one of the better shows I’ve seen in awhile… It has everything to hook and reel you in. All the characters are phenomenal, and the suspense is building! Thank you FOX for renewing Lucifer for another season!

Please keep Lucifer going!!! Such a good story, memorable characters, and the obvious puns are slid into the show flawlessly. There’s a lot of talented writers and actors working on this DC interpretation. Don’t let one of the few good new shows die!

I’d like to the show ease up on the police procedural nonsense and focus more on Lucifer’s efforts to live like a human, while remaining, of course, the Devil.
