Lucifer has been a lead character on a handful of TV series over the years but the shows rarely last more than a season or two. How will Lucifer perform on FOX? Will the ratings be good or very bad? Cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
On the Lucifer TV show, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. Charming, charismatic and devilishly handsome, he’s enjoying his retirement while owning a nightclub. His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. He starts to have feelings of compassion for the first time in billions of years and ends up helping a homicide detective (Lauren German). The rest of the cast includes Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, D. B. Woodside, and Scarlett Estevez.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
4/7 update: FOX has renewed Lucifer for a second season. Details here.
4/26 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Me and my wife love the show. I’m sure all the Bible thumpers will think everyone who watches it will be going to Hell. My advice to them is if you don’t like it don’t watch it and don’t judge the ones who actually do love the show. No judgement right?? 🙂 Knowing Fox though they will probably cancel it because they like to cancel good shows (The Following is just one example).
I like this show. It’s funny, irreverent, and different than any other show on TV. I enjoy the premise that the devil could become “good.” And I’m a Christian. Any Christians who get their panties in a twist over this show are ridiculous and have no sense of humor. Obviously.
The fact that this many people love this show is repulsing. I’d be repulsed if one person watched this show. But the fact that over 4 million people still watch this really repulses me. But the fact that 4 million people watch this show motivates me even more. I will free all of you from this evil show that has your minds in a prison. Stop watching this show and watch better shows.
Stop trolling!! I have a question, have you watched a single episode or are you basing your hatred off of the title of the series?? If you are, than certainly you are prejudice and that in itself is a thousand times more horrible than any TV series, which is a fictional show by the way. If your mental capacity is more than a child’s you will know that it is not real and therefore harmless. If you don’t like the show get a life and a girlfriend and mind your own business… People can make there own decisions without you… Read more »
My husband and I LOVE this show! The only FOX show we ever watch is Lucifer. I look forward to Mondays! I truly hope it doesn’t get cancelled. I know there’s a contingent of evangelicals “picketing” this with petitions to FOX. But it’s so funny and irreverent, you simply cannot take it seriously. It continuously pokes fun of the main character. In the last episode I saw, Lucifer gets shot and begins to bleed. The dialog was so witty and campy. In tone, it reminds me of an old Hercules episode featuring Bruce Campbell. Please FOX, don’t take away the… Read more »
This show needs to continue!!!!!! This and Rosewood!!!!! Two amazing shows that have yet to get the attention they deserve!!!!
I love this show. Me and all my friends are watching it and it is so much fun. Refreshing . I just wish they would have him do a bit more of badass kicking you know what I mean? Keep the rates and they better renew it. I need the fun we all do!
This is a wonderful show my family loves the show and has a little bit of sexiness comedy action Mistry a little bit of everything
Excellent show with talented writer-Neil Gaiman- my husband and I enjoy it very much. Probably the 18 to 49 demographic weaned on ‘Grand Theft’ type games finds it too tame, but we prefer witty dialogue to violence and will miss it if they don’t continue the series…1
My family absolutely loves this show! It is a joy to watch and we hope it does get a 2nd season.
reminder, we need to keep the ratings up on lucifer. pls dont bother with greg, some people never learn.??
And you are doing a great job keeping them up. It’s ratings have gone down with each episode. Face it, this show is dead!
I was looking for a new tv show to watch, i started “Lucifer” from the start i liked it, the music as well as the acting from the actors.
Good show, i enjoy it. I very well will be hoping for a season 2…yep they should make a season 2. Thumbs upp !! Great actors by the way, also the makers a good show.
Considering Lucifer only exists from the bible the show completely shows Lucifer in a completely different context than is written. In fact one might say Lucifer himself rewrote the bible to make himself look good versus the truth. Only anti God neutral or Satanists would approve of the image given where Lucifer is good and the angels jerks. The show is so cliqued and plot weak that even they prob won’t elevate the ratings. Bottom line….thank God Lucifer sucks
Are you kidding me? This is fiction. he devil is fiction. Yet I like fiction that goes against the Norm
like you are seeing a science fiction for the first time!! lol its not about religion and the bible, its just a nice show!! how about supernatural?
Lucifer both biblical and fictional is awesome. I love this show so…. Meh. :}
Actually the show is based on the Lucifer comic books, not the one in the Bible.
Lucifer’s never mentioned anywhere in your bible so you can’t dictate what is truth and what isn’t. And this show has been renewed for a second season proving that it doesn’t suck. Actual satanists hate this show just as much as you do. I am neither anti-god nor a satanist. I am a pagan witch and a member of a religion that totally pre-dates yours by several millennia who whole heartedly in the existance of both Lucifer and your hebrew god as well as the pagan gods and goddesses that I actually worship. I approve of this show. How in… Read more »
It’s a bit uneven, but I enjoy the UST between Lucifer and Chloe, as well as Lucifer’s struggles with his emerging empathy. I also enjoy the hint of potential attraction between Mazikeen and Amenidiel. Episode 4: Manly Whatnots was pretty good, but then they dropped the UST / morality struggle in Episode 5. I think that’s the thing which will keep people coming back, the idea of the devil perhaps someday earning redemption? Everybody loves a redemption story. I just hope they let this series develop long enough that we get to see this version of Lucifer do it. I’d… Read more »
Fun and entertaining. I think the casting is great. I hope it stays around.
Best TV show I’ve seen with the most beautiful characters one that you actually want to watch
