How is the cast reacting to the cancellation of Lucifer? Recently, stars Tom Ellis and Kevin Alejandro discussed all the efforts to save the cancelled FOX TV show.
The drama stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, who relocates to Los Angeles and begins helping the police solve crimes. The cast also includes Kevin Alejandro, Lauren German, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Rachael Harris, Aimee Garcia, Tricia Helfer, Scarlett Estevez, and Tom Welling.
During an interview with RadioTimes, Ellis discussed the FOX series’ cancellation and the outpouring of fan support:
It’s so disappointing for fans when they don’t understand the decision making process and it’s important to talk about that right now because people get left in the lurch. … The hardest thing for fans to understand is these decisions are business decisions and not decisions that are there to disappoint them.”
Later, Ellis said the fan response has inspired him to help save Lucifer in any way he can:
The response has spurred me on to at least go, ‘OK, well I’m going to go and take part in these conversations’. When you spend so much time working on something it’s hard not to be passionate about it, certainly for me, and the producers want to harness my passion for it and take it around because it’s helpful for them.”
Speaking with CinemaBlend, star Kevin Alejandro said there may be some hope for Lucifer fans:
I know that Peter Roth and Jerry Bruckheimer’s team love Lucifer. Just like we do. And they won’t just let Lucifer disappear. If there’s an avenue, if there’s a they can knock on, they will knock on it, and I know they are presently doing that. Just trying to figure out if there’s a real home for it and they’re gonna explore every avenue that they can and not let it just disappear. And no matter what happens at the end of this, because of the outpour of emotion and response to the show from our fans, it’s just an incredible way to go out if you have to go out this way because we all know that we created something that our fans truly like and enjoy being part of.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of Lucifer? Do you want another season?
One of the best shows on TV, sick of reality shows, please do not cancel!!!!
Lucifer is lots of fun. I hope there’s a way to keep it on.
Yes please – there is nothing else quite like this show! #savelucifer
Please renew Lucifer! I do not have time to watch very much television and this is a show that I enjoy watching very much! I really love Lucifer when he is at his most mischievous! Please, please, please bring him back or I am going to give up watching television completely. It doesn’t pay to get interested in anything anymore!
#savelucifer – need lots more Rae Rae and Narration from Neil “Dad” Gaimen
One of the best TV shows in a very long time PLEASE find away to renew the show

Lucifer is a family favorite. Please renew!
Please, please, please bring back Lucifer, I just love the little devil, what a great and creative show! Get rid of the goldbergs, or Big Bang, or jimmy kimmel! We need variety! To much of the same ol’ you know!
I agree completely. Nicely said!
Bring back Lycifer snd cut the bachelor and the bachelorette
Yes I want another season its just not fair to leave the series unfinished like it is at the moment. I love this show especially Tom Ellis and will be a fan forever
Lucifer means a lot to us! The show is thoughtful and funny. There has not been a better idea to come out in years. Lucifer is the only show that my Husband and I watch on prime time. All of our other entertainment comes from the three big streaming channels. Nothing resonates like the relationships between the cast of Lucifer.
Please save Lucifer! We need it!

I’m definitely a fan. I’ve been watching since episode 1. Please don’t take Lucifer away. It’s my favorite show. Please #SaveLucifer #PickUpLucifer Listen to the fans!!
I am really disappointed. This was one show that always gave me a laugh – as well as being entertaining. I think it’s a rare combination. Some other network should grab it up.
Love, love Lucifer!! Right from the pilot episode, I was hooked. At least they could’ve let the show have some kind of notice and have an ending to wrap up instead of just cancelling it! Monday nights will not be the same!
