NBC has a modern family of their own. Deadline reports the network is developing a new series titled Mail Order Family.
From Superstore writer Jackie Clarke, the comedy “is loosely based on Clarke’s family. It follows a widowed single father who orders a mail-order bride from the Philippines to help raise his two preteen daughters.”
Clarke will executive produce the series alongside Ruben Fleischer, David Bernad, Josh Bycel, and Jonathan Fener.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Superstore? Would you watch Mail Order Family?
I won’t waste my time on it.Sounds terrible.
Disgusting! I do not support this kind of comedy sitcom.
NO. I refuse to watch a comedy that dehumanizes Asian women who are purchased to become instant and subservient wives and mothers. How dare Jackie Clarke make a joke of all this? NBC, shame on you.
Do not support this. It’s creepy fetishizing of Asian women and is an attempt to make human trafficking funny.
