Major Crimes has a major change in store. Recently, showrunner James Duff spoke with TVLine about the season five return of the TNT series.
The crime drama follows the further investigations of the detectives in the Los Angeles Police Department’s Major Crimes division. The cast includes Mary McDonnell, Tony Denison, GW Bailey, Michael Paul Chan, Raymond Cruz, Robert Gossett, Phillip P. Keene, Graham Patrick Martin, Kearran Giovanni, and Jonathan Del Arco. TNT has already renewed the show for a sixth season.
In the interview, Duff expressed concern over TNT’s decision to move the show to Wednesday nights:
This is not the night I would have picked, and this is not the time of year that I would have picked to come back on. … I do believe that we have some experience in locating our viewers, and letting them know where we are. We do keep up a very active social media presence, and we are in communications with our viewers as closely as we can be.
But we are very actively trying to get the message out to people. I do hope that Wednesday night at 9 doesn’t end up being a big problem for us.”
Season five of Major Crimes returns this Wednesday, February 22nd, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
What do you think? Do you watch Major Crimes? Are you concerned about the timeslot change?
I will watch Major Crimes whenever it is on. Just let us know.
When does it come on February 2018? If not, then I missed the entire season if it’s 2017.
Missed the whole season. Didn’t even know it came back on. Only got to see last episode on tnt app.
I love the show will watch no matter what day or time is on
I love Major Crimes, it’s a great show and I will watch it but I think Mondays at 10 would be good cause you’ve got other shows on at the same time Wed. but MC is the bets drama show ever.
Great show I will watch it wherever they schedule it.
Love the show. I will watch whenever it’s on. I enjoy Rusty’s story and need more of Sharon’s private life…..like Brenda on “The Closer”.
I am concerned, love the show, wish it stayed on Monday less competition. I will watch it no matter when.
I don’t care what night it’s on. It’s my favorite crime show. Actually the only one I watch.
Don’t understand why when a show is doing well the network has to move it around. It’s like they want it to die. But, as a die-hard fan I will watch it no matter what night,
The show has always been on Monday and it has done well. There is nothing else to compete with. Wednesday will be the downfall of the show.
Monday night’s The Voice major conflict. Wednesday’s better in that respect. Other network line ups no conflict for me.
I am a great fan of Major Crimes…I will watch this show whatever day/time it is on whenever possible due to my schedule. The other shows airing at that time will not affect my preference for Major Crimes. Best wishes to all and thank you for an exceptional show and cast.
