Some popular shows will be missing from this year’s Comic-Con lineup. TVLine reports the ABC series Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD and the NBC TV show Blindspot will not make an appearance at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
This is the first time Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD has missed out on Comic-Con since the drama debuted on ABC in 2013. And the same goes for Blindspot. The NBC thriller has appeared at the San Diego fan event since the show premiered in 2015.
So why are these shows skipping Comic-Con? It seems both are hard at work filming their next season. Blindspot is currently filming its season three opener in Venice, Italy. Meanwhile, Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD is busy filming its fifth season. Both series will be present at New York Comic-Con this fall, however.
