What’s This TV Show About?
A Canadian black comedy and mercy killing drama, Mary Kills People stars Caroline Dhavernas Jay Ryan, Richard Short, Lyriq Bent, Greg Bryk, Abigail Winter, Grace Lynn Kung, Katie Douglas, Alexandra Castillo, Sebastien Roberts, Lola Flanery, Natalie Lisinska, and Jess Salgueiro. The Lifetime TV series centers on Dr. Mary Harris (Dhavernas). A physician and single mother, Mary also operates a euthanasia business on the side. She deeply believes people should be in control of their lives and their deaths. To Mary, that is liberty. Dying is not a crime.
Season One Ratings

On June 5, 2017, Mary Kills People was renewed for a second season in Canada. On July 28th, Lifetime picked up Mary Kills People, season two. Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Although series creator Tara Armstrong and star Caroline Dhavernas both want to make additional seasons of their new TV show, Canada’s Global Television has not yet announced if Mary Kills People will be cancelled or renewed for season two. It could be that a renewal by Global will depend on Lifetime’s interest in picking up another installment, which would mean its US Nielsen ratings matter.
The series premiered with mediocre ratings on Lifetime. The numbers saw a significant drop after that but, since then, have remained pretty steady. I suspect it will be renewed but that’s just a gut feeling. Subscribe for free updates on any Mary Kills People cancellation and renewal news. I must admit I admire the good doctor’s style. I wonder if she is interested in taking on another partner.

Really liking the show ‘Mary Kills People’. The actors are great and the show is well done. I’d much rather watch this than a silly reality show. Mary and her sister are great. I watched ‘Rookie Blue’ and liked the role that her sister played in that…she very good in ‘Mary Kills People’….love that hair :). Hope that it gets renewed for a 2nd season…fingers crossed.
Best show I’ve seen in a very long time. I’ve told as many people as I can to watch it. Please don’t cancel this show! It needs to be marketed better though. The acting is unbelievable.
Finally a series on network that is thoughtful AND engaging and deals with current issues affecting millions of people! Do Not Kill Mary !!!!!
Please do NOT CANCEL this excellent show. As an RN who has worked im hospice, I think this subject matter is addressed in a factual and realistic manner and needs to be brought more attention. This show does so in an entertaining manner so the point gets across.
DO NOT WRITE OUT BEN….WE NEED ALL THE ROMANCE HE BRINGS ALONG WITH THE CONFLICT

Please continue season 2 and beyond of Mary Kills People! I was curious about the show from ads on Lifetime and ended up loving it. I’ve watched every episode twice. Actually, I cannot say I agree with the story line of euthanasia or the relationship between Mary and Ben but I am absolutely fascinated by it. Hooked!
I feel it is the best adult drama on television right now.

Please bring Mary Kills People back for a second season +++ many more after that! This is possibly the best show on television now! I love the writing, the acting, & the unique storyline. I can see this show going on for years with all of the twists & turns available to the writer’s imagination. I predict Emmy awards for this show, cast, & writers! Fingers crossed for the renewal!
