Having achieved great success with three original, primetime scripted series “When Calls the Heart,” “Good Witch” and “Chesapeake Shores,” Hallmark Channel expands its original programming slate with the primetime reality series “Meet the Peetes.” The series follows the lives of actress and activist Holly Robinson Peete and her husband Rodney Peete, a star in the NFL for 16 years. Each episode chronicles their lives as they navigate the waters of raising kids and dealing with the same trials and tribulations facing many American families. Production on the series is slated to begin this fall and will premiere February 2018.
“We couldn’t be happier to expand our relationship with Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete, whose family values and generosity of spirit are a perfect fit for our network,” said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Network Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. “We’re excited to move into primetime, unscripted programming and we know our viewers will embrace the Peetes’ story and fall in love with them as much as we have.”
In “Meet the Peetes,” audiences will see Holly and Rodney’s hectic lives as they attempt to balance raising four kids, including one with autism, running their HollyRod charity and spending time with Holly’s 80-year-old mother Dolores, who moved in with them after retiring from her career as a talent manager. With daughter Ryan in college at New York University, their son with autism RJ working for the Los Angeles Dodgers he decides he’s ready to leave the family nest. On top of that, Holly’s mother Dolores announces she’s ready to move out too – the Peetes are in a period of change that will continue to unfold in “Meet the Peetes” only on Hallmark Channel.
“My whole family and I couldn’t be more excited to collaborate with Hallmark Channel and everyone at Crown Media Family Networks,” said Holly Robinson Peete, “Hallmark Channel has always been the top destination for family-driven stories and we’re thrilled to share our next chapter with such an amazing partner.”

What do you think? Do you watch Hallmark Channel? Will you check out Meet the Peetes?
Not interested! No offense, I have enough “Reality” in my own life! Do not care to see the reality “Life” styles of “Millionaires”! But do “Love” Hallmark, Christmas channel!!
I’m not watching this show. Not interested in reality shows. They seem like a nice family but I don’t watch it.
I don’t like reality shows….but I find myself glued to meet the Petes. The episode where Rodney showed the boys how to tie a tie and how to treat a girl brought tears to my eyes. A black man being a father. The episode where they planned a party for the son with autism, was so inspiring. My grandmother would always tell me that I could do anything through Christ who gave me strength. I love Hallmark. Not one single show that I have not seen once, and Meet the Peetes is up there with When Calls the Heart
I like Hallmark because there is no reality tv and I get to watch movies and series. When Meet the Peetes comes on, just as it did a couple of minute ago, I change the channel when I would normally watch Hallmark. At 9 pm I want to relax and watch a movie, not some boring reality tv show.
Not sure; might check it out but do not typically watch reality TV as I consider most of it trash TV. You can watch crap on any channel. If done tastefully I will give Hallmark credit. Don’t mess up the good thing you have going. Just saying.
I couldn’t be more thrilled to catch up with the Peetes! I was devastated when they parted ways with OWN. I’m in love with this whole family. I’ve followed the careers of Holly and Rodney for decades. As a mother of an autistic son, their journey has been so inspiring. Welcome back, Peetes!!
I love Meet the Peetes !! I love watching the series over and over, it is good therapy for me. I love everything about the entire family down to Ms. Dolores. Thrilled that is what I am. Keep it coming….
