TV show description:
Following the success of the My Fake Fiance TV movie, Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence star in this series about a local politician who hires a former commodities trader to be the family’s new male nanny.
Mel Burke (Melissa Joan Hart) was born and bred into a political family. After a wild childhood, she’s now grown up and forging her own path through city politics. Her sister lands in prison, leaving her brother-in-law to go on the run after his company is rocked by a scandal. Mel takes in her sister’s two teenaged kids, Lennox and Ryder, and realizes she’s bitten off more than she can chew.
Joe Longo (Joey Lawrence) is a former commodities trader who lost his job. His wife is leaving him, he has no place to live, and is losing his Porsche. He needs a job and place to live badly so he convinces Mel to let him be the family’s new “manny.”
Lennox Scanlon (Taylor Spreitler) can identify with Joe’s plight. She was brought up on private schools and nice clothes and loves to have crazy fun with her Aunt Mel. Now that her parents are out of the picture, she’s going to public school, wearing clothes that aren’t too hip, and life with Aunt Mel isn’t much fun anymore either.
Little brother Ryder (Nick Robinson) seems to be following his mom’s path to jail time. While he’s on the basketball team and loves football, he also skips out on school assignments and sets fires. He needs some help from Aunt Mel and Joe in getting back on the right path.
Episode #104 — Double Happiness
Mel and Joe both panic when she gets news that will directly affect her senate run — they’re having twins. Meanwhile, Ryder gets his orders from the Navy. Lennox and Zander have life-changing epiphanies after they almost die in a car crash on the way home from a wedding. They decide to get married themselves. Also, Joe’s book gets published.
First aired: August 5, 2015.

Do you like the show it’s kind of hard every now and then to find some plain fun on TV and there’s some littler kids around all they have is all these Ronchi reality shows I guess unless everybody’s sugar and everybody and everybody else knows about it it’s not any good
I think it definitely should have been renewed. I will definitely miss watching this show and my daughter will too.
I love the Melissa and Joey show> Please bring it back for a fifth season. The characters are just now growing into stronger roles and there is so many directions the show could go. Would love to see them starting their own little family. Just hate to see it end.
