ABC surprised more than a few people when the network renewed Men in Trees for a second season. Great, but where did it go?
Marin Frist (Anne Heche) is a best-selling author and relationship coach who helps women find the right man, using her own life as an example. On a plane trip to attend an Alaska conference, she finds out that her finance has been cheating on her and realizes that she doesn’t know as much as she thought she did. Marin decides to stay in the remote town (where the ratio of men to women is 10 to one) so that she can truly learn how to find and keep a good man, and write a new book. The cast also features Abraham Benrubi, Emily Bergl, Seana Kofoed, Suleka Mathew, Derek Richardson, Sarah Strange, Cynthia Stevenson, Lauren Tom, James Tupper, and John Amos.
Men in Trees debuted on September 12, 2006 on ABC. Trees followed the Fall debut of Dancing with the Stars and attracted over 12.1 million viewers. The second episode lost a third of the audience and attracted just over eight million in its regular timeslot. Despite a season of ratings ups and downs, ABC renewed Men in Trees for a second year on March 21st.
Men in Trees has been off the air however since March 8th. ABC pulled the series to make room for the debut of October Road. Trees was originally scheduled to return on April 12th but ABC has reworked its schedule more than once, delaying the return each time.
ABC has now announced that Trees fans will have to wait a whole longer to see new episodes — probably five months. The remaining five episodes of season one will now be part of Trees’ second season, bringing the sophomore year episode total to 27.
Though frustrating and unusual, this isn’t unprecedented. Grey’s Anatomy and Boston Legal both had 27 episode sophomore years. There have been rumors that ABC may change their mind and decide to air the rest this season. We’ll keep you posted so stay tuned! 
PLEASE bring back Men in Trees. My husband and I never missed an episode. We were sooo disappointed when it was pulled off the air. Whomever made that decision should be fired!!! ABC is no longer our favorite station to watch.
It was totally ridiculous to take Men in Trees off–especially for the sleep inducing October roads
Please bring back Men in Trees. It’s a great show with a wonderful cast.
I really enjoyed watching it and I’m extremely disappointed that it was
taken off the air. I have a few select shows that I really enjoy watching
and this was one of them. I don’t know who makes these decisions but
I personally think pulling this show was a bad one! Bring it back soon!
Men in Trees is one show I can watch and go to bed and sleep well.It is a great show and we love it. Please bring it back for us old people
This is a desperate plea to bring back MEN IN TREES!!–How could you stop airing a non-violent show! It has everything–beautiful scenery, REAL people, great humor, great acting, fun and sex…What’s the problem ABC??? October Road? I say HIT THE ROAD!–won’t even give it a glance. My husband and I watched MIT together–do you know how rare that is?? BRING IT BACK!!
Men in Trees is still my favorite show. I will wait for it, but please hurry! I’ve been boycotting other ABC shows since you took it off the air, so you’ve lost a viewer, until it returns!

Men in Trees was like a real life novel. The character were so real and everyone could relate to them. PLEASE bring it back.

i am very disappointed with men in trees not continuing. i really loved that show and i hope it returns soon. i looked forward to friday nights then you changed to thursday and i moved with you to thursdays and then it was air a show then skip weeks and then air a show. i want to see men in trees back on tv. it gave me someeting to look forward too after working all day. i hope you people get your act together and start airing it again. d
Finally a show worth watching, Men in Trees, and it gets taken off. I refuse to watch October Road because the same thing will happen to that show. Bring back MIT…..

You ARE appealing to a broad audience, pay attention. You can’t take everything off the air just because it isn’t the greatest show of all time! There has to be fun, flirty, light programming as well. October Road? I don’t know anyone who watches it, but everyone I know wants to watch Men in Trees!! So how bout’ it ABC.

Hello, television programs have been slop for pigs these last few years, if people want to view reality tv so much they need to watch court tv like i do. Dancing with the stars is a great show i will agree to that but the rest can go into the abyss that the networks like ABC,NBC, And CBS, have sent great shows like men in tree’s, and the black donnelly’s have been sent, please you need to get you’r head out of reality and bring back these great shows. thank you M,G, in Il
