ABC surprised more than a few people when the network renewed Men in Trees for a second season. Great, but where did it go?
Marin Frist (Anne Heche) is a best-selling author and relationship coach who helps women find the right man, using her own life as an example. On a plane trip to attend an Alaska conference, she finds out that her finance has been cheating on her and realizes that she doesn’t know as much as she thought she did. Marin decides to stay in the remote town (where the ratio of men to women is 10 to one) so that she can truly learn how to find and keep a good man, and write a new book. The cast also features Abraham Benrubi, Emily Bergl, Seana Kofoed, Suleka Mathew, Derek Richardson, Sarah Strange, Cynthia Stevenson, Lauren Tom, James Tupper, and John Amos.
Men in Trees debuted on September 12, 2006 on ABC. Trees followed the Fall debut of Dancing with the Stars and attracted over 12.1 million viewers. The second episode lost a third of the audience and attracted just over eight million in its regular timeslot. Despite a season of ratings ups and downs, ABC renewed Men in Trees for a second year on March 21st.
Men in Trees has been off the air however since March 8th. ABC pulled the series to make room for the debut of October Road. Trees was originally scheduled to return on April 12th but ABC has reworked its schedule more than once, delaying the return each time.
ABC has now announced that Trees fans will have to wait a whole longer to see new episodes — probably five months. The remaining five episodes of season one will now be part of Trees’ second season, bringing the sophomore year episode total to 27.
Though frustrating and unusual, this isn’t unprecedented. Grey’s Anatomy and Boston Legal both had 27 episode sophomore years. There have been rumors that ABC may change their mind and decide to air the rest this season. We’ll keep you posted so stay tuned!

THERE IS SO MUCH JUNK ON TV RIGHT NOW IT’S NOT EVEN WORTH WATCHING!I INTRODUCED THE PROGRAM TO MY DAUGHTER AND NIECE LAST CHRISTMAS AAND THEY ABSOLUTLY FELL IN LOVE WITH!! WE ALWAYS WATCHED IT TOGETHER! CANCEL ULGY BETTY OR SOME OTHER PROGRAM THAT’S RUN IT’S COURSE, THIS WAS JUST GETTING STARTED.
please please bring back men in trees!!! it is a truely amazing programme that has had me hooked each week and i cant wait for more!! it is like a breath of fresh air to the television as it is so different from everything else on there and is just such a pleasure to sit and watch and unwind to and have a good laugh or a cry with them. please please come back soon.
I AM SO HAPPY! I love MEN IN TREES. I would offten think about the show and wish it would return. When I was watching TV the other night and saw that it would be on tonight Oct 12 at 10 o’clock pm. I felt like crying. Thank you Thank you Thank you.

I would love to have Men in Trees back on TV. It is a great show. It’s not sleezy, violent, or a crappy reality show. It is entertaining, PERIOD!! I thought that is what networks & advertisers want to air on TV, something ENTERTAINING that people watch. If ABC doesn’t bring Men in Trees back, I guess that displays their values of programing… low quality & none entertaining.
I love Men in Trees I am so tired of waiting, they stopped mid-season, my heart is breaking for its lack 9of return. Bring It Back Brick it Back! PLease PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!
Men in Trees was my favorite show last season but I had a hard time catching the show because it appeared at all different times and was never on reliably. Please bring it back!!!!!!!!

Please bring back Men in Trees! I’ve been waiting for months now hoping that it would come back. It’s my favorite show. I never miss it and it’s sad to see a good show go to waste.
I really miss Men in trees. We need this back as soon as possible. The reruns are done and I don’t care what day it runs. That’s what recorders are for.
I was shocked when I couldn’t find Trees in the guide. That is the ONE show I actually made it a point to watch. I am seriously disappointed. Please bring it back soon!
Please bring back Men in Tree’s. It’s one of the best shows I’ve seen in a very long time & I have quite a few friends that feel the same way.
I looked and looked on the guide,newspaper,etc. for it. This was the few of the tv shows I have time to watch. Why did you take it off? Who makes these decisions. It certainly are not the fans. Take a poll, you will see!

It seems that I wasn’t the only one who enjoyed Men In Trees. What makes all of you think that ABC will actually put it back on tv? We all loved it but ABC has jerked us around and still might do so. There are no guarantees about anything on tv except for stupid reality shows that seem to assume that we are all watching them. I just turn the tv off.
