ABC surprised more than a few people when the network renewed Men in Trees for a second season. Great, but where did it go?
Marin Frist (Anne Heche) is a best-selling author and relationship coach who helps women find the right man, using her own life as an example. On a plane trip to attend an Alaska conference, she finds out that her finance has been cheating on her and realizes that she doesn’t know as much as she thought she did. Marin decides to stay in the remote town (where the ratio of men to women is 10 to one) so that she can truly learn how to find and keep a good man, and write a new book. The cast also features Abraham Benrubi, Emily Bergl, Seana Kofoed, Suleka Mathew, Derek Richardson, Sarah Strange, Cynthia Stevenson, Lauren Tom, James Tupper, and John Amos.
Men in Trees debuted on September 12, 2006 on ABC. Trees followed the Fall debut of Dancing with the Stars and attracted over 12.1 million viewers. The second episode lost a third of the audience and attracted just over eight million in its regular timeslot. Despite a season of ratings ups and downs, ABC renewed Men in Trees for a second year on March 21st.
Men in Trees has been off the air however since March 8th. ABC pulled the series to make room for the debut of October Road. Trees was originally scheduled to return on April 12th but ABC has reworked its schedule more than once, delaying the return each time.
ABC has now announced that Trees fans will have to wait a whole longer to see new episodes — probably five months. The remaining five episodes of season one will now be part of Trees’ second season, bringing the sophomore year episode total to 27.
Though frustrating and unusual, this isn’t unprecedented. Grey’s Anatomy and Boston Legal both had 27 episode sophomore years. There have been rumors that ABC may change their mind and decide to air the rest this season. We’ll keep you posted so stay tuned! 
PLEASE bring back Men In Trees. I looked everywhere fir this program. I just love it. After working all day and stressed out this would relax me and I was so thrilled at all the characters and their antics. Please reconsider and bring it back. Just so light hearted and funny.
Leaving the characters of Men in Trees in such desperate situations is cruel and unusual punishment for those of us who loved them!! Addiction to TV series is not a usual thing for me, but I must admit that I am very, very disappointed and hope that the show will come back…SOON!

Where’s men in trees? Men in Trees is brilliant, funny, cute, and I love the characters. It had a unique chemistry about it. It was a welcome break from the general stressful viewing that is usually aired. I loved kicking back and enjoying this great little escape show! Please bring it back!
What happened to “Men in Trees”,again? It disappeared AGAIN? I am so disappointed. I look so forward to watching it every Friday evening at 8 pm. Will it be back again?
ABC needs some new execs. Who ever is doing the scheduling needs to be fired. I loved Men in Trees, but we watched a couple of episodes and then it was off for 6 months, you brought it back and then it was gone again.
I watch very little TV because most of the programing is CRAP. But I really enjoyed MEN IN TREES.
What is the deal on the scheduling? Bring back fall line ups that at least last through the spring.

Men in Trees is the only program I truly look forward to watching on TV. What has happened to it? Please put it back on. You can’t just let all of us faithful viewers just as stranded as Jack is on the life boat!!
To whom it may concern, You must have had an extraordinary reason for cancelling Men in Trees…otherwise I would really like to know why you would give in to the competition… Instead of watching one of the few good shows at ABC we are all turning to watch NBC or CBS !!! Bad marketing you guys !!!
Where has my “Men in Trees” gone? I love this show right behind “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Brothers and Sisters”. I was last watching it Friday nights at 8pm. I thought Merrin and Jack had great chemistry together. Please don’t cancel.
Please bring Men in Trees back THIS YEAR. It’s the ONLY TV program worth watching. I even convinced my husband to watch, and that’s rare! The whole cast is fantastic and their roles really fit! Thanks

Men in Trees is one of the few best tv shows in a Long time I look forward to it every week. Its very funny, the settings are beautiful the characters are warm and interesting like you’ve known them forever. Its like when tv was great years ago not all the junk tv they have on now. PLEASE do not cancel it we love it!
