The latest medical drama on CBS is going the way of Three Rivers and NBC’s Mercy and Trauma. Miami Medical has been cancelled after one season on the air. However, there is some good news.
Miami Medical follows the exciting lives of a group of talented surgeons who work at one of the best trauma centers in the country. The Friday night drama features Lana Parrilla , Jeremy Northam, Omar Gooding, Mike Vogel, and Elisabeth Harnois.
The CBS medical series got off to a poor start on April 2nd with a 1.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 7.59 million viewers. In week two, the numbers dropped to a 1.4 rating in the demo and 7.1 million viewers. Viewership has continued to tumble and thus far, the season has averaged a disappointing 1.3 rating in the demo and 6.7 million viewers.
To put these figures in perspective, Numb3rs’ season had better numbers — an average of a 1.8 rating and 8.27 million — and was ultimately cancelled.

And now, like so many of the other medical dramas from this season, Miami Medical has been cancelled. There won’t be a second season.
On the positive side, the show was scheduled to finish its run tonight, leaving five of its 13 episodes unaired. But now, CBS has added some additional airdates.
Next Friday’s will be a repeat of the pilot episode. Then, original episodes will return on June 4th, paired with new installments of Flashpoint. The last episode of Miami Medical is expected to air on July 2nd.

I loved this show. I’m disappointed. I was waiting for season 2
I LOVED MIAMI MEDICAL!!! Why must CBS take off GOOD shows and replace them with shows that are worth the electricity used to watch them and NOW they’ve put BLUE BLOODS on WEDNESDAY NIGHTS.
Miami Medical is a good show i never write a comment or take a stand on anything i just let things happen and go with the flow, CBS i think you should re-think Miami Medical it is a great show and with just a few more episodes i beleave the veiwers would come around, I my self had my recorder set up to tape every episode since the first episode aired.
great show and wish they would give it another try…………great writers and actors and shows how our medical field really helps us in out time of need. does rating show if you record the show and watch it later? If not that may have something to do with it

I loved this show. So sorry it was canceled. I kept watching for it to come back. You have now taken off both of my favorite shows, Miami Medical and Flashpoint. Not much to watch anymore.
So, so sorry Miami Medical was cancelled. Great show, great writers and the actors/actresses made believable the characters. Really grew to love the show and am truly saddened for the cancellation. Will look forward to seeing any unaired episodes.

This and Trauma were great shows and I am very sorry to hear they are cancelled. I have been waiting and waiting for another season , so searched and came across this site. Very disappointed as this was one of the best shows of the season for me.
It sucks they pulled the show. I had it set to record every week, and now I sit here with the last show still on my DVR wondering what happened. Well now I know and shame on you CBS for pulling it so soon. You could’ve let it run another season before killing it
I enjoyed the show, too. I didn’t know about it when it first came out in the spring. I became aware of it in the summer and watched it thinking it was a new show that would be on in the fall-time. I kept wondering what happened to it. I just figured they were busy producing new episodes of it. I have been missing it for about six months now.
im am extremely saddened that it was cancelled :'( why oh why…i loved this show..at first i wasn’t that into it..but as episodes came coming i really feel in love with the characters..i wish they would give it a second chance..pleaaaaaaaaaase
I am very sad to hear that Miami Medical was cancelled. I loved it. Ever since ER went off the air nothing else was even close to my standard. And then came Miami Medical. I am very disappointed that it was cancelled. If i knew that the last episode would be the very last one i would NOT have watched it. It left me wanting more.
The wife and I thought it was an awesome show. It really should have been given a second chance. Compared to some of the new shows that started after this show was cancelled, Miami Medical was a great show with great cast interaction and story content.
