Nashville will air an all-new episode on ABC later tonight, but fans know the end is near. The network cancelled the series last week, but there is still hope. With the people behind the series actively looking for a new home, it is possible that the series could return for a fifth season.
However, Connie Britton has already shared a message with her fans about the cancellation of the series on social media. She shared the following message after the news broke, according to TV Line:
“To the amazing friends and family who are Nashville, to the cast and crew, and most of all to the fans…I’d just like to say it’s been my honor to be a part of this world, to live in it and breathe it in and try to replicate it. Sometimes we were more successful than others. But the place of Nashville in my heart is deep and permanent. I am grateful for the hard work and faith of so many who dedicated themselves to creating and supporting this show. And I am forever changed for the better. Thanks for the music.”
According to TV Guide, the actress also spoke about the cancellation of the series on a talk show appearance earlier this week. Nashville has been a big part of her life. She has raised her adopted son there since 2011. She said the following:
“I’ll talk to my Nashville friends, and they’re all devastated. It’s a real bummer also for the town too. I’m going to miss those people so much. I’m so upset, then I talk to my friends in L.A., and they’re like, ‘We’re so happy you’re coming home.’ So I’m just like, I don’t know what I feel! [My son is] 5, and we’ve been doing the show there for four years, so it’s a big deal. It’s over. The end of an era. I think he’s going to just ditch me now because he’s like, ‘I’m staying in Nashville now. These people are cool. I’m learning how to play the drums. See you later.'”

Nashville is a great show full of wonderful artists and actors. I think a network like TNT would appreciate this fantastic show! I hope it get picked up because I hate to see it end.
I never used to like country music but it’s because of the show Nashville that I absolutely love country music. The show is very entertaining and the talent on the show is just awesome. Why would ABC cancel such a powerful drama, but renew lack luster show is unthinkable. Matter if fact this was the only show on ABC that I watched beside the awards. Now I won’t be watching at all anymore until the next award show which is Sunday.
Please don’t cancell please someone pick these show up I don’t want it to end
I can’t believe this…right in the middle of a season?? Are you kidding me? I can not believe that you don’t have high enough ratings to keep Nashville on the air. This is an outstanding production with mind blowing talent, a great story line…exciting plot twists…what are you Network heads thinking? Go ahead cancel and some other Network will pick it up and reap the benefits off the publicity of your poor decision. Can’t wait to give them my viewing support.
I can’t believe this show is ending so quickly. It is a show I have loved to watch more than any of the other shows I record.

Nashville is the only show I record on my DVR just incase I am not home on Wednesday evening, which I always try very hard to be. I look forward to it every week. I can’t imagine this series ending so soon. All of the characters are superb and there is so much more for the writers to write about. One more show is not near enough to satisfy the Nashville fans. The actors and the story lines and the music are all so wonderdul. Why would a network want to cancel something so great?
We are very saddened at the cancellation. We have enjoyed it so much! I pray they find a new network. That’s my vote! Please continue the series!
