Though it hasn’t been a ratings success, ABC has kept Nashville on the air. Will the numbers continue to fall this season? Is there a chance that it could be cancelled or is it essentially guaranteed to be renewed for a fourth season (because of potential syndication profits)? We’ll have to wait and see.
The Nashville TV show continues to follow the lives and careers of country music superstars Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) and Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton). The rest of the cast includes Clare Bowen, Eric Close, Charles Esten, Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, Chris Carmack, Lennon Stella, Maisy Stella, Will Chase, and Oliver Hudson.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: ABC has renewed Nashville for a fourth season.
Final season averages: 1.34 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.16 million total viewers.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
For comparisons: The second season of Nashville averaged a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.34 million total viewers.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the Nashville TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a fourth season?

PLEASE PLEASE don’t cancel Nashville. I don’t know what the ratings problem is but this show is a tonic for music lovers, wonderfully acted and produced! Connie Britton and the whole gang are wonderful. I also watch Blacklist, Scandal and the Good Wife on network TV and that’s it! Then I’m all in at HBO and Showtime. SO, don’t do it.
Really look forward to this show weekly and would be very disappointed if it is cancelled! With the exception on the recent story line and appearances by Christina Aguilera I have been a fan since day 1.
PLEASE do not cancel this show! It is one of three that I watch regularly–and it is my favorite of them. The music is amazing (I have downloaded all the albums from iTunes), the acting is excellent, and the story line is “real.” Nashville is one of my favorite cities in America (second only to Charleston, SC), and I love being able to visit it virtually via this show. The recent plot developments should have increased interest and viewership. ABC, keep this wonderful show on the air for at least one more season.
Please do not cancel this show. It is my favorite.
Please renew this show, my friends and I watch it every week and it is one of the best shows that have ever hit television !!!!
Did not know about this show until I visited Nashville last year been watching it every since.
I am so glad you kept it around
Its the only show I stay up to 10 to watch. My daughter record it every week
This is one of the only shows I actually watch every week faithfully. Have to get my Rayna/Deacon fix. Have lived in Nashville my whole life and love seeing different parts of my home town each week. Would definitely be sad to see it cancelled. So really hope it gets renewed for a fourth season. Storyline has many possibilities.
Please renew this show. The actors are great and the music is out of this world. The characters are so relatable. There are some many trash shows on TV that it is refreshing to find such a good show. With the world the way it is, a show which has hope, love, twist and turns, and real life issues that are handled in a great way. I would ask that Deacon not die in Season 4 and that finally he and Rayna could have a happily ever after. Mess with someone else’s love life. Along with millions of fans, if… Read more »
My favorite show. Please give us a season 4
Love Nazhville. Please renew !!!!’n
it’s one of the only shows on tv that is intelligent, engrossing, and entertaining. it’s about making choices, and the consequences thereof; it’s about love, and raising a family, and
every day events. i would imagine each and every viewer will find something of interest.
i hope this show show will be renewed for at least another season.
Love, love the show—as does my husband. We are from Wisconsin and since it began, we have visited Nashville twice. We got our adult kids hooked, too. As a writer myself, I am amazed at the the show’s creativityand the talent of the actors. We would give anything to have the show renewed.
I still have tears on my face from watching tonight’s episode.
Such a pleasure to look forward to a weekly series and hope it continues.
I wept for at least thirty minutes after the end of the episode. My husband and I both love it, and we have traveled to Nashville three times since we started watching it.
I love this show and I really hope it gets renewed. Can’t leave me hanging.
I am praying that Nashville gets renewed – it is one of my favorite shows and there are such wonderful storylines with endearing characters. Please bring them back!!!!!
One of the only shows I wAtch on TV and am addicted to- everyone knows not to call me on Weds. Night at 9:00- I don’t want to miss a single word- very talented actors that are great singers, too!

I love Country music and the characters sing the music perfectly.
Lived in Nashville all my life. Love the TV show. I can watch a storyline and it brings things to mind things that really did happen through the years in the music industry. I love how they portray the city. Nashville, the city, is a happening place to be right now. I would love for the show to continue.
