NCIS is getting ready for season 14 on CBS, and the series has cast two more regular cast members for the upcoming season. These new additions are hoping to fill the void left by the exit of Michael Weatherly at the end of season 13. He will be back on CBS with a new series this fall.
TV Line reported that one of the guest stars that helped wrap things on season 13 is now a regular cast member. Fans will see Duane Henry return as MI6 officer Clayton Reeves. Wilmer Valderrama is also joining the series, and CBS released a press statement revealing the addition of Jennifer Esposito to the cast as well.
The press release is below:
“Jennifer Esposito has joined the cast of NCIS, television’s #1 drama, as a series regular. Her character will be introduced in the season premiere of NCIS, Tuesday, Sept. 20 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.
Esposito will play NCIS Special Agent Alexandra “Alex” Quinn, an experienced agent who left field work and became an instructor at the Law Enforcement Training Center. Gibbs will lure her back into the field as part of his team, where he will take advantage of her sharp wit, quick mind and immense talent as a federal agent.
“We couldn’t be happier to have Jennifer Esposito joining us for season 14,” said Executive Producer Gary Glasberg. “She embodies everything that we hoped for in the character of Quinn and we can’t wait to have her come be a part of our team.”
Esposito’s television credits include BLUE BLOODS and “Judging Amy” on the Network, “The Affair,” “Mistresses,” “Samantha Who?,” “Rescue Me” and “Spin City.”
Esposito’s film credits include the upcoming film “You Get Me,” “She’s Funny That Way,” “Crash,” “Don’t Say a Word,” “Welcome to Collinwood” and “Summer of Sam” among others.”
Sarah Clarke was also brought in at the end of season 13, but fans will not see her character again on the series.
Are you excited for these new additions to the cast of NCIS? Tell us what you think.
Special Agent Alexandra “Alex” Quinn needs to get the boot drags the show poor acting, poor story line. Ad’s nothing to show.
I was shocked to see Ziva leave NCIS and thought it was a show that was going down quick. I will never enjoy it as much as I once did with Ziva and Tony but I have loved the two new characters and where the show is going. Still miss Ziva hope she comes back!
Have watched NCIS from the start, and absolutely still love it! Though all the cast changes are upsetting–we miss Sasha and will miss ‘Tony’/Michael W. — No more ‘originals’ leave please! Still, we are excited to see what happens this season!
Keep it going, Mark H.! Bring your wife/Pam in for a guest spot, miss seeing ‘Mindy’ too!!
