Good news for FOX’s Tuesday night sitcoms; New Girl, Raising Hope, and The Mindy Project. They’ve all been renewed for the 2013-14 season.
Both New Girl</em> and Raising Hope are down significantly in the ratings year-to-year. However, New Girl is still the network’s highest-rated comedy and will return for season three. Raising Hope isn’t doing nearly as well but is getting close to having enough episodes for syndication. Hope will be back for season four.
The Mindy Project has been struggling in the ratings but in the last few weeks the numbers have been inching upward. It seemed that FOX wasn’t giving up on the show, especially after they scheduled special airings of Mindy and New Girl to follow a Thursday edition of American Idol on April 4th.
The Mindy Project will return for its second season. Ben and Kate, the network’s other newbie sitcom, has already been cancelled.
Here are some additional details about the renewals:

I am 67 years old and love The Mindy Project. Scripts are well written, characters are wonderful. Thanks for renewing it for another season.
Yay! Love Raising Hope!! It’s brilliantly funny. And enjoy New girl too. Mindy Project however isn’t my thing I find it boring. Would love to see Raising Hope gain more popularity and even bigger ratings to make it the #1 show in North America, ‘cuz it deserves it!!!!!!!!!!
Go Hope Go! Sindication, baby!
Love Raising Hope , New Girl, and The Mindy Project!!! Watch them faithfully each week regardless of my schedule. I can’t get enough of New Girl and The Mindy Project. Both women are extremely relatable. There is nothing more powerful than being comfortable in your own skin even if it makes you appear a bit eccentric. Love both these women’s confidence in and off the screen !!
Please please PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPleas srop the reality shows. We don’t need to sit at home a live like through Public people. I am going out and plant flowers.
Agreed! It’s over kill.
As a fan of every one of these shows, I couldn’t be happier.
