As previously reported, ABC had planned on running just four of its six episodes of October Road. Though the series shows evidence of losing steam, ABC has changed their plans.
October Road debuted on March 15th to 13.93 million viewers. The second episode dropped 16% and the third dropped to less than 8.3 million. Despite this decline, the series has been attracting a healthy percentage of the desirable 18-49 demographic.
ABC had planned to air only four of the six episodes of October Road this season. If the series was renewed then the remaining two episodes would air as part of season two. ABC has now decided to air the remaining two episodes this season.
October Road will take a one week break while a double dose of sitcom Notes from the Underbelly debuts on April 12th. Underbelly will then move to Wednesday nights beginning April 18th. The two episodes of October Road will air on April 19th and 26th. No word on what will occupy the timeslot after that.
A final decision on an October Road second season will likely be announced in mid-May at the network upfronts. Stay tuned! 
I agreeee with every one if the show is cancled it will be a big dissapointent! this show just got started and i am hook to take it off now would be a [ughhhh] — come on listen to your viewers & keep it on
I like this show. Hope they don’t cancel it. Seems like everything is getting the axe.
October Road is a great show!! I hope you don’t cancel the show, because there’s been many shows ABC has run. And it seemed as ABC would bring them back. As in, Invasion, Kyle XY to name a couple. I watched each airing of those programs, & was hugely disappointed when they weren’t brought back.
I love October Road. I really hope the series will get picked back up!
This is the most relateable show on tv, just like what about brian. The greys, brother & sisters and desp. house wives are great and it’s fun to live in their alternate realities that are so different than our actual lives! I think you hit the jackpot on October Road and What about Brian because they actually resemble reality, like the lives we are living with our friends and families. This show can’t be canceled it is great. Please leave it on after Greys Anatomy I wouldn’t want to miss it due to watching WWE RAW on USA on Mondays. It may not due well on another time. Please continue what already works for the show to stay on.
October Road is a great show!! I absolutely love all the characters and the storyline. Please tell ABC not to cancel this show!!!
I really like the show but I can’t believe Nick chooses Hannah over Aubrey. I don’t like that part. His past is his past, been there done that, that’s why he is not there anymor! Other than that major point the show is OK.
October Road is wonderful! It is catching on quickly! It is a wonderful CLEAN night time drama!! PLEASE KEEP IT GOING!

how can you cancel a show after so many people look forward to watching it. It was just getting good so please let us know what going to happen. There a lot of people who watch it my whole neighborhood watches it.
I love October Road. I have never watched an entire series without missing (or caring if I missed) a couple of episodes. Even thou it was only 6 episodes, I made sure I was available to watch! Please bring it back!
October Road is a wonderful show! I would like to see it put back on channel 7 on Thursday evenings. When Friday comes around everyone at work talks about Gray’s,and October Road. Wonderful choices of actors!! PLEASE put it back on!!!
This show needs a second chance. It’s one of those shows that took an episode or 2 to really get going, but once it did, I don’t want it to stop! It’s very believable and the characters are so real and fresh. The music is amazing, the scenery is beautiful and the actors are perfect in their roles. This show must go on!
