What impact will Angela’s discovery have in the first season of the Our Kind of People TV show on FOX? A FOX soapy drama series, the Our Kind of People TV show stars Yaya DaCosta, Morris Chestnut, Joe Morton, Nadine Ellis, Lance Gross, Rhyon Nicole Brown, Kyle Bary, and Alana Bright with Debbi Morgan, L. Scott Caldwell, Raven Goodwin, and Nicole Chanel Williams in recurring roles. The series takes place in the aspirational world of Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard, a historical stronghold where the rich and powerful Black elite have come to play for over 50 years. In the story, a strong-willed and single mother named Angela Vaughn (DaCosta) sets out to reclaim her family’s name and make an impact with her revolutionary haircare line that highlights the innate, natural beauty of Black women. However, she soon discovers a dark secret about her own mother’s past that turns her world upside-down and shakes up this community forever.

I love “Our Kind of People”. It should be renewed. It has a great cast and every black show doesn’t have to be ratched! I like to story line so far ❣️

This show is entertaining. It is good change of the same hospital and police tv shows. We are already depressed with pandemic and other illnesses in the world, we do not need another hospital tv show.
Keep Our Kind of People!
A parade of overdressed in the most form-fitting clothes, over made-up, over jewelled women. A non-stop fashion show with little else to offer. It is hard to find anyone or anytime real in this show. Ditch it!
This happens when the cast is Black or brown skin. Many pretend they can’t understand.
This show is terrible. Yaya should have stayed on Chicago Med, she was good on that show.
A lack of understanding doesn’t make it terrible. It is the misunderstanding of a culture and it’s worth that many define as nonsensical.
Leave it to Fox to cancel a great show. I hope they move to Netflix or Own where they can be appreciated and have longevity. You have top tier talent, yet because it’s all black cast mainstream won’t allow it to be great.

This show should have aired on the own station network because it would still be running and just when I got interested they stop making episodes I wanted to see what would happen next
This show is horrible. Karin Gist and Lee Daniels messed up a great storyline about black elite for trivial nonsense. Yaya’s acting was better on Chicago Med. This show should have stayed in production. Everything is horrible on the show the directing , the editing , the writing and acting. Lance gross cannot act at all.
Lance Gross still feels like he’s playing “Daniel Reynolds” from season 3 of “Sleepy Hollow”

BORING! I was wondering if there was ever going to be a plot. This show needs to be put out of it’s misery.
