Are you a fan of Outsiders? WGN America just cancelled the TV series after two seasons. What do you think? Do you think it should have been renewed? Would you watch a third season on another channel?
Airing on Tuesday nights, the Outsiders drama follows the Farrell clan, a tight-knit family who reside in the rugged hills of Appalachia and come into conflict with the surrounding population. The cast includes David Morse, Thomas M. Wright, Ryan Hurst, Joe Anderson, Gillian Alexy, Kyle Gallner, Christina Jackson, Francie Swift, and Phyllis Somerville.
Ratings have never been great for Outsiders, but it’s been one of the highest-rated original scripted shows on WGN America. Currently, season two is averaging a 0.21 rating in the 18-49 demo and 780,000 viewers — down by 26% in the demo when compared to the first season. Now, it seems that the upcoming season two finale, scheduled for April 25th, will also serve as the series finale.
Or, will it? Sony Pictures Television is reportedly shopping a third season of Outsiders to other outlets. The show’s ratings wouldn’t seem to be a strong selling point but, these days, you never know.

I will definitely watch it on a different channel if it is on one that is included on my package. I couldn’t watch on Wgn without upgrading my DIRECTV package. I hope you will put it on a channel that everyone can watch. I bought the first season as soon as it was released and plan to do the same as soon as season 2 is released

I cannot begin to tell you how much our family looks forward to this show. We haven’t been hooked on a show like this since SOA… I SURE HOPE SOMEONE PUTS OUT A SEASONS 3. Your loss WGN..

Count me in for future seasons of CaOutsiders to be”air” on other channels. Disappointed with WPN’s decision. II must digress and say that the shows Underground and Cops are not interesting to me but that’s my opinion, as if my opinion matters……Chicago…..that says it all….
So sad show has been cancelled. Was highlight of Tuesday night TV. I will definitely watch if another channel picks it up. Why WGN would you cancel?
