TV show description:
This drama series is set in the rugged hills of Appalachia and follows the Farrell clan. They are a tight-knit family of renegades who have lived atop Shay Mountain for over two hundred years.
The Farrells live off the grid and above the law, enforcing their own set of long-held values and beliefs. They are governed by a simple but powerful tribal authority led by a Bren’in, or ruler, and a small council of elders.
Notoriously secretive and unforgiving when crossed, the Farrells find themselves in conflict with the residents of the nearest town nestled at the foot of Shay Mountain. These locals — and all others outside the tribe — embody greed, malice and all forms of corruption that must be avoided at any cost. Direct contact with the ‘Losties’ (as named by the Farrells) is strictly forbidden.
For the last 20 years, an uneasy truce has generally presided between the ‘Losties’ and the family tribe of Shay Mountain — until Big Coal enters the arena. Never ones to back down from a fight, the Farrells will ultimately defend their way of life using any available means.
Characters include: Big Foster (David Morse), the gruff and powerful heir to tribe leadership. His son is Lil Foster (Ryan Hurst), a massive mountain man.
Young and intuitive Hasil (Kyle Gallner) feels rejected by the group. Lady Ray (Phyllis Somerville), the regal yet tough leader of the Farrell clan.
Asa (Joe Anderson) is a former member of the Farrell clan looking to rejoin the family after a 10-year stint with the outside world. Asa’s trusted confidante is G’Winveer (Gillian Alexy), a healer and a survivor.
Beautiful and young, Sally-Ann (Christina Jackson) is from a mining town and she’s fascinated by the Farrells (Hasil, in particular).
Haylie (Francie Swift) is a clever and cunning all-American community relations manager who represents the encroaching coal company.
Sheriff Wade Houghton (Thomas M. Wright) is a cop who has a rough and mysterious history with the Farrells, and grapples with several personal troubles of his own.

What do you think? Do you like the Outsiders TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?

Please reconsider cancelling this series. Me and my husband really enjoy the show and look forward to each Tuesday when it aired. Please ….. don’t leave us hanging!!!!
LOVE THIS SHOW…… SUTTER TAKE IT OVER!!!!!
Please don’t cancel this series!!!! My husband and I don’t watch a lot of TV but this is one we don’t miss! It has a strong story line, interesting characters, fantastic acting and offers so much more! Every single person we’ve recommend this show to has ended up loving it and binge watched past episodes to catch up to the current weeks program. I know it did well in the ratings and just don’t understand why they wouldn’t want to carry it on for additional seasons…

no way ! don’t leave us hanging! Please bring this show back!
I love this show. Please bring it back!
I am not a big television watcher, with most shows being tripe. This is one of the few shows I watched for the past 2 years. Sorry it’s being cancelled as this was the only WGN show I watched
There is something that feels fundamentally wrong about the cacellation of this tv program. It has a strong viewing audience–especially considering that WGN America is not on all cable networks. Outsiders’ storylines, writing, and acting are fabulous and compelling. This tv program uniquely speaks to current day issues and events. While being at times gritty and violent, this show exudes romanticism at its core. I think these are but a few of the reasons why Outsiders is so addictive. Outsiders draws viewers in and then they are hooked. It is truly a shame that such a show has been cancelled.… Read more »
Please continue! It’s a great show! Don’t leave us hanging!
