TV show description:
This drama series is set in the rugged hills of Appalachia and follows the Farrell clan. They are a tight-knit family of renegades who have lived atop Shay Mountain for over two hundred years.
The Farrells live off the grid and above the law, enforcing their own set of long-held values and beliefs. They are governed by a simple but powerful tribal authority led by a Bren’in, or ruler, and a small council of elders.
Notoriously secretive and unforgiving when crossed, the Farrells find themselves in conflict with the residents of the nearest town nestled at the foot of Shay Mountain. These locals — and all others outside the tribe — embody greed, malice and all forms of corruption that must be avoided at any cost. Direct contact with the ‘Losties’ (as named by the Farrells) is strictly forbidden.
For the last 20 years, an uneasy truce has generally presided between the ‘Losties’ and the family tribe of Shay Mountain — until Big Coal enters the arena. Never ones to back down from a fight, the Farrells will ultimately defend their way of life using any available means.
Characters include: Big Foster (David Morse), the gruff and powerful heir to tribe leadership. His son is Lil Foster (Ryan Hurst), a massive mountain man.
Young and intuitive Hasil (Kyle Gallner) feels rejected by the group. Lady Ray (Phyllis Somerville), the regal yet tough leader of the Farrell clan.
Asa (Joe Anderson) is a former member of the Farrell clan looking to rejoin the family after a 10-year stint with the outside world. Asa’s trusted confidante is G’Winveer (Gillian Alexy), a healer and a survivor.
Beautiful and young, Sally-Ann (Christina Jackson) is from a mining town and she’s fascinated by the Farrells (Hasil, in particular).
Haylie (Francie Swift) is a clever and cunning all-American community relations manager who represents the encroaching coal company.
Sheriff Wade Houghton (Thomas M. Wright) is a cop who has a rough and mysterious history with the Farrells, and grapples with several personal troubles of his own.

What do you think? Do you like the Outsiders TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?
I LOVE IT. PLEASE DONT CANCEL.
PLEASE DON’T CANCEL ‘OUTSIDERS’!!!!!!!!!! This is SUCH A GOOD SHOW!!!!!! WE ABSOLUTELY NEED THE REST OF THE STORY! PLEASE, DON’T CANCEL IT………PLEASE DON’T.
I looked forward every week to seeing Outsiders. It really demonstrates the plight of people who have no political influence when they face off against a very connected and powerful adversary and how that adversary can impose their will on people who simply want to be left alone to live as they have.
The outsiders is the best show going. their really needs to be a continuation. it can not end the way it did without telling the rest of the story.
My husband and I look forward to watching Outsiders every week. Do not cancel the series!!
I hope NETFLIX picks this show up! That would be great! This show is awesome! It’s important to remind/enlighten people that there are still folks in this country who are content far away from the “convieniences and amenities” of city life. This show should appeal to the “cord-cutters” who are the bread-n-butter of Netflix users, like myself…PS still kinda pissed they killed Asa Ferrell off
Awww come on! With all the stuff on tv that really NEEDS to be cancelled you go and pick on a show with so much merit. Who makes these decisions anyway? Maybe THEY should have their paychecks cancelled…
Every time I find a new show that I really like it gets cancelled. I hope it gets picked up by another channel and continued, this is a very good show.
Love the show!!
I really enjoyed this series and am still hoping some way somehow it gets to be continued. I looked forward eagerly each week to see what would be next for this community.
Will continue to live in hope.
What a shame. I loved this new original show. There goes ever watching WGN again
I don’t watch a lot of tv but never missed an Outsiders I was right there I would watch them even on a pay channel. Great show.
Love the show, but i agree it needs to be on a channel more people get! I don’t get WGN America and you need the top tier of packages and a lot of people cannot afford that , me included. So i have to wait for it to come out on dvd. Put it on just WGN, everyone gets that channel!
love this show. didn’t start watching until a month ago. I have now seen all episodes. please don’t cancel. I can’t wait to see more. crazy about it.
Please bring season 3, please don’t leave us not knowing what happens,
