DESTINATION AMERICA SIGNS GHOST-HUNTING ALL-STARS NICK GROFF AND KATRINA WEIDMAN TO LIVE WITH THE DEAD FOR ALL-NEW SERIES PARANORMAL LOCKDOWN
January 8, 2016
(Silver Spring, Md.) – From the network that delivered the first-ever live televised exorcism last fall, comes an all-new series this March that stretches the limits of paranormal investigation. Destination America’s six-part series PARANORMAL LOCKDOWN, hosted by paranormal all-star Nick Groff and co-hosted by seasoned ghost hunter Katrina Weidman, follows the two as they confine themselves in America’s most terrifying places for an unprecedented 72 hours straight. Living at haunted locations, many of which have never before been seen on television, some being investigated for the first time ever, Groff and Weidman believe that the longer they stay, the more the spirits will communicate with them and the more information they can gather about the unknown. From the creepy Kreischer Mansion on Staten Island to the foreboding Franklin Castle in Cleveland, PARANORMAL LOCKDOWN is set to premiere on Friday, March 4 at 10/9c exclusively on Destination America.
“As valued fixtures of the paranormal community, Nick and Katrina have years of thrilling investigation under their belts and join the Destination America family with huge support from their fans,” said Jane Latman, general manager of Destination America. “Overnight explorations are a staple of ghost hunting, but PARANORMAL LOCKDOWN supersizes the suspense in a round-the-clock, multi-day investigation that has never been conducted before on a paranormal TV series.”
“Living with the dead was a whole new experience for me and Katrina, giving us the opportunity to document some incredibly enticing evidence about the afterlife that we can’t wait to reveal to PARANORMAL LOCKDOWN’s viewers,” said host and executive producer Nick Groff.
For Destination America, Groff previously executive produced GHOST STALKERS in 2014 and appeared in EXORCISM: LIVE! this past Halloween to share his experience investigating the original Exorcist house. PARANORMAL LOCKDOWN will mark Groff’s debut as host of a Destination America original series.

I absolutely love this show . Nick and Katrina complement each other well . Please don’t cancel it . Every time I find a good show I like they end up canceling it ..
I love this show. I would like to see it stay on Destination American channel. I watch both Nick and Katrina in the show they appeared in. Keep it! Please. Awesome show……!!!
I love this show. I started getting into ghost shows with Paranormal state, and was very excited to see my favorite crew member of that show now has her own show. I was also excited to see my favorite GAC member in attendance aswell. This is a dynamic duo and U can see how well these two work together with the evidence they collect and the spark of excitement they bring to television. I hope to see this series continue.
Great show. I am surprised this concept wasn’t thought of years ado. Would like to see it continue
I am loving the amazing investigation duo of Nick and Katrina as well as all their guest investigators!
Loving the show and more so the guest investigators Grant Wilson. Damn good to see you boy!
Awesome to see Nick Groff doing his own thing and having Katrina too.
On the Trans-Aleghany Asylum episode, did anyone notice that while Katrina was in the morg, there was a shadow on the far right side of the shot in two different clips while she was hearing noises. It was never addressed so I wonder if it was noticed? I didn’t think she had a flashlight or device during that time that might create that?
Wow! Watched the first episode and what a load of bull! They call themselves researchers but use equipment that has been proven to amplify the softest of normal noises making it sound like louder noises which you obviously didn’t hear because it’s being amplified by the equipment? This is just more TV sensationalism. They discredit real paranormal researchers who dedicate their life to finding something credible. But here in the span of a few days they find credible evidence? Shadow people in the corner of your eye are very common and it is a type of temporarily schizophrenia, a misfire… Read more »
Sorry to say that I was disappointed in the show once again. It has been the same thing every week just a different place. I was hoping you were going to go to people’s houses and help them out. So far I haven’t seen anything interesting. I think I will pass on it next week. I wish you all the best.
The hole point of the show is they go to the most haunted places in America not go to people’s houses and help them with their personal hauntings that’s what paranormal state did. This is an entirely different show with a different twist. No one has ever spent 72hrs in Americas most haunted places b4. Give credit where it’s due
so happy to see Nick doing what he does best..nice to see the crossover with the paranormal hunters from T.A.P.S.. Great to see proper paranormal investigations without all the made for T.V filming!!!
Have you ever thought if it was a loved onime your Grandmother or Mother or a serious loved one of yours or even yourself…would you think it was right to have somebody digging around where they or you died and have these “Ghost Hunters” constantly asking you: is thst you; where are you; what do you want to say; are you here…make a sound; and on and on and on…. Is this really what should be done to those who sufferedor loved us in life? Why can’t we help them pass over to the Light for Peace….or just leave them… Read more »
I love these two investigators, and together they should be awesome. I can’t wait
I worry about the integrity of the show. If I remember correctly, Paranormal State was fraudulent, by their own admission. Then I came across an interview in which Aaron Goodwin stated that Ghost Adventures is also fraudulent. Despite this, I believe both Nick and Katrina to be good people. IF, AND ONLY IF, Nick and Katrina do honest investigations, they should have a following that will support them and have a successful show. The best of this and the after life to them 🙂
Do you really think that what Aaron said was true, and if it was, do you really think The travel channel would still have Aaron on the show!
Lok up Aaron’s comments again and see that there are hints this was a hoaxed rumor.
Can’t wait !
