– Special After Show Hosted by Fox Sports TV Personality and Pit Bull Advocate Jay Glazer to Air Immediately Following 100th Episode from Villalobos Rescue Center –
(New York) – Tia Torres has been the face of pit bull advocacy for more than 20 years and has elevated the discussion of breed discrimination to the national level ever since PIT BULLS & PAROLEES first premiered on Animal Planet in 2009. Throughout the past seven seasons, viewers have witnessed Tia and her family band together to overcome natural disasters, heartbreaking rescues and a cross-country relocation from Los Angeles to New Orleans with hundreds of dogs while they continue to operate a rescue empire – Villalobos Rescue Center – the largest pit bull rescue center in the U.S. Tia has also offered a fresh start to more than 50 parolees and a new lease on life to hundreds of dogs that were discarded, demonized and abused, often due solely to the reputation of their breed. Now, Animal Planet celebrates the 100th episode milestone of PIT BULLS & PAROLEES on Saturday, January 2, at 10 PM (ET/PT). Immediately following the episode, Fox Sports TV personality and pit bull advocate Jay Glazer will catch up with Tia inside Villalobos Rescue Center for an unfiltered look at life behind the scenes with her kids and the dogs she’s fought for and rescued over the past two decades. Additionally, the network announces the renewal of the franchise series, produced by Emmy-nominated 44 Blue Productions, with 10 brand new episodes beginning fall 2016.
With a loyal fan base and a thriving social media presence nearing 1.5 million Facebook fans, PIT BULLS & PAROLEES has inspired a pit bull rescue movement across the country. Beginning at 11 PM (ET/PT), Jay Glazer will host a half-hour special After show event with Tia Torres from Villalobos Rescue Center in New Orleans. During the intimate discussion, Tia will give viewers the no-holds-barred inside scoop about what it’s like to run the nation’s largest pit bull rescue while she also films the television series at the same time. Throughout the night, fans will have the chance to show off their own pit bulls on air by submitting pictures using #PitBulls100 on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
PIT BULLS & PAROLEES is produced for Animal Planet by 44 Blue Productions and Rive Gauche Television. Rasha Drachkovitch, Billy Cooper and Dave Luce are the executive producers for 44 Blue Productions. For Animal Planet, Lisa Lucas is the executive producer, and Patrick Keegan is the producer.
Are you a fan of Pit Bulls & Parolees? Are you happy to see it coming back for a new season next year? Tell us what you think.
Tia I would like to see more of the old staff like Mando, Damen, Rico etc on the front line. I hope they are still on with Pit bulls & Parolees. As a viewer I miss some of the first parolees that started with the show. Please show them from time to time. Let us know how Matt and Earl doing since leaving the show and any one else who has left the show. I really would like an update about them. I love the show. Thank you Tiia
I am a fan of Pit bulls & Parolees I believe this show educates the viewers on the importance of training your breed of dogs teach them to respect humans as humans are to respect the breed of dog. With out the show people would not have know about this breed and they would just keep on being put down. Please keep this show on as long as the family members can continue. I am waiting for AJ to get out and work with Tia and her family. That would be a blessing. Keep the show on TV.
I am soooooo happy to see pitbull and parolees return it is a feel good reality series I love watching real people do good things there is enough hate, greed and selfish ness in this world so when you see the goodness and selflessness of Villalobos you can’t help wanting to watch it
Yes, I love this show. The love and compassion given to the dogs is phenomenal. Makes me want to adopt a pitt female but not sure I can afford it.I have a home and a back yard but the fence needs mending, can’t do it myself.I was very sad when the show wasn’t on. Elated to hear it’s coming back on t.v…
this is the best thing I love this woman I volunteer at Ulster County SPCA and we get pit and pit mixes we are a no-kill shelter. I love the breed however live in a small house not much room ,but that doesn’t stop me from giving them love at the shelter.
This is my favorite show on tv
I am soooooooo happy to hear the show is returning. To find out about Earl and Matt, my favorite!
Tia is my inspiration. God bless her and the whole crew.
We need to stop breed selective legislation and allow Pitties into rentals so they can all find homes.
My family thinks you’re show is a wonderful thing you do by saving different type of dogs besides pitbull that you started with .helping cats and other critters ,I also think daughters,son-in-law ,sons daughter in law are awesome and other boy friend girl friend . I hope Earl is coming back soon and I hope he is doing really good with his rehab.
When I 1st heard of the flooding in LA, my immediate thought was of you & if the dogs were safe, hoping little to no damage in all areas. Could there please be an update of how the storms affected you? Blessings to each of you & my prayers continue. I give extra hugs to my son’s pit bull, Abbi…..a sweetheart , when together & think of you.
Hello Tia!!! I have to say that you/yr family are SOOOOO AWESOME!!!! Not to mention the guys you have helped get a second chance. We have been wondering if everyone is okay,safe/dry??? My heart goes out to those so affected by the flooding. I so wish we could help, but both of us can only pray to god that you are all okay. “Thanks to Animal Planet” for renewing the show. Can’t wait to start watching it.
I hope these 10 episodes in the fall of 2016 aren’t the last. I love this show and the work this family does saving so many pit bulls. I donate to support one of their “can’t adopt” dogs, Lala, and I’m sure donations would slow down if the series was cancelled. Please Animal planet keep Pitbulls and Parolees on for years to come.
Thrilled. I would not have my Trevor if it wasn’t for these people.
I am so thrilled there will be a season 8!! I’ve been waiting. Watch the reruns when possible as they air during work hours. Tia & crew have done amazing things for Pitty awareness. I rescued my awesome pit bull boy because of this program. Praying VL is not affected by the floods!
Watching this show has totally changed my opinion of pitbulls. Thank god for Tia and her “family”.
I wanted to know if they are flooded? god help them I hope not that would be devastating. I love the show it shows what kind of people are out there and how you guys help them and make them better physically and mentally when you can.I thank all of you for doing what you do you are the best kind of people I wish more people would get a life and do something good for this world instead of bad. (GOD BLESS YOU ALL)
