Wendie Malick is joining the team. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress has been cast in FOX’s upcoming series Pitch.
The drama follows Ginny Baker (Kylie Bunbury), the first woman to play for a Major League Baseball team. The cast also includes Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Ali Larter, Mark Consuelos, Dan Lauria, Mo McRae, Meagan Holder, and Tim Jo.
Malick will play “Maxine Armstrong, a major shareholder of the Padres corporate parent.” Pitch premieres on September 22nd.

Wendie Malick is a excellent actor and it is too band Rush Hour got yanked before it had time to build an audience. Although she did not have a big role in the show, her presence and character were a delight. I hope she can find a role on a show with some legs but I don’t think Pitch is it. Pitch is going to tank before the Thanksgiving turkey hits the oven.
