Comedy Central isn’t straying away from politics anytime soon. This week, the network announced they’ve ordered more episodes of The President Show and The Jim Jefferies Show.
Hosted by Jim Jefferies, The Jim Jefferies Show “features the Australian comedian’s unapologetic, honest and international approach to culture and politics.” Meanwhile, The President Show stars Anthony Atamanuik as a parody of President Donald Trump.
Comedy Central has ordered an additional 10 episodes of The Jim Jefferies Show and seven more episodes of The President Show. New episodes of the former begin on September 19th at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT and The President Show is moving to midnight beginning September 28th.

LOS ANGELES, July 25, 2017 – Comedy Central has extended the first season of the new late night series The Jim Jefferies Show and ordered 10 additional episodes it was announced today by Kent Alterman, President, Comedy Central. The series, which features the Australian comedian’s unapologetic, honest and international approach to culture and politics, is currently in the midst of its initial run, which will see original episodes through August 15. After a brief hiatus, new episodes from this extension will begin on Tuesday, September 19 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT, following the fall season premiere of Tosh.0.
“Jim Jefferies continues to surprise me,” said Alterman. “I always knew he was wickedly funny. I had no idea he was so sexy in real life.”
“I’m very grateful to Comedy Central for making our relationship more official,” said Jefferies. “Like all my relationships, I look forward to a few more months with Comedy Central before it starts crying outside of a bar at 2am. Or spray paints ‘liar’ on the side of my car.”

The Jim Jefferies Show ranks as the #1 new comedy in 2017 among Men 18-34 among all ad-supported cable in prime and has had a great start on the digital front as one of Comedy Central’s most-viewed new series on its owned and operated platforms across the past two years.

A comedian, actor and writer, Jim Jefferies has established himself as one of the most respected comics of his generation with a controversial and belief-challenging stand-up style that continues to surprise and entertain audiences around the globe. He recently wrapped an international stand-up tour, “The Unusual Punishment Tour,” to rave reviews which came on the heels of releasing his second Netflix special Freedumb last summer.
Jefferies has also found critical success as an actor where he played the role of “Charlie” in the feature film And Punching the Clown, that premiered at the 2016 SXSW Film Festival and he created, wrote, produced and starred in the critically-acclaimed series Legit, which ran for two seasons on FX.

Comedy Central has extended The President Show for an additional seven episodes for a total of 22 episodes, it was announced today by Kent Alterman, President, Comedy Central. Created by Anthony Atamanuik who hosts as Donald J. Trump, and produced by Clone Wolf Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment, this weekly, topical late night series currently airs on Thursdays at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT. Beginning Thursday, September 28, The President Show will premiere at midnight, following new late night series The Opposition with Jordan Klepper.
“When POTUS himself gets so direct and simplistic it’s hard to understand what he means, it’s valuable to have Anthony there to translate the nuances for us,” said Alterman.
“I’m very excited to continue to chronicle the rapid decline of Western Civilization,” said Atamanuik. “I want to thank Comedy Central and the fearless Kent Alterman for extending our show for an additional seven episodes with no end in sight!”
The President Show premiered on April 27 to 1 million viewers (L3), the biggest audience for a Comedy Central series premiere since Broad City. Across its inaugural season of making late night great again, the series is up +17% with total viewers in its timeslot versus year ago with its Adult 18-49 rating up +10%. Since its debut, The President Show has outperformed the previous time period occupant by +140% in total viewers and +46% among Adult 18-49 ratings across the prior four-week average. Full episode streams of The President Show are up over +225% compared to all other 2017 premieres on Comedy Central.
In the world of The President Show, Trump is bypassing the crooked media by hosting a late-night show direct from the Oval Office. No unfair questions from reporters, no awkward photo ops with German ladies, and no bedtimes. Just a fun show where he can put his unique Trumpian spin on such late-night staples as desk segments, field pieces and guest interviews. Vice President Mike Pence is featured as his sidekick, played by Peter Grosz.
