What would be the smart move? The season one finale of Pure Genius just aired on January 26th, and we want to know if you think CBS should cancel or renew the TV show for a second season.
A medical drama, Pure Genius follows a team of doctors as they team up with cutting-edge tech experts and try to push the boundaries of modern medicine to save lives. Doctor Walter Wallace (Dermot Mulroney) is a disgraced but brilliant surgeon who is recruited by a young Silicon Valley tech billionaire, James Bell (Augustus Prew). Wallace learns that Bell is harboring a secret and he begins to question just what the young founder is really trying to achieve. The cast also includes Odette Annable, Reshma Shetty, Aaron Jennings, Ward Horton, and Brenda Song.
Pure Genius debuted on October 27th with middling ratings for CBS. The pilot earned a 1.05 rating in the 18-49 demo and 6.23 million viewers. From there, the numbers only declined. With only 13 episodes under its belt, season one of the series received an average rating of 0.86 in the 18-49 demo and a total of only 5.34 million viewers. The show’s ratings currently rank third to last out of CBS’ 22 scripted series for the 2016-2017 season.
Given the low ratings and CBS’ decision not to order more episodes, it seems likely Pure Genius will be cancelled.

It’s a feel-good story about beating the system using technology that sadly has reaped more benefits for game players than medicine. Please, please renew this show and give it a decent chance to build an audience!
This show is one of the best shows on TV right now. I’m so tired of reality shows and the terrible shows. This is so different and gives hope to people. Please renew. I really want to know what happens to James and the rest of the team!

This show is brilliant and different from other shows. Why, oh why should it be cancelled half way though a story,
we need a closure. These companies do it so many times eg. The Glades and Almost Human. They seem to keep boring programs going forever. PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL PURE GENIUS.

It offers Hope and Promise and that is what this world needs today. Find a new time slot…Mondays are horrible days for TV…whatever you need to do, but PLEASE don’t cancel this Amazing show.
Please do not cancel yet. Give it another try and maybe try a different time/day. It’s a family show, any age can watch. Some of us are tired of Gordy ER scenes and bed hopping sex.
Keep it, PLEASE! Not only is it interesting and uplifting, it also mirrors reality, as in Sean and Alexandra Parker’s initiative, Parker Initiative for Cancer Immunotherapy Center.
We need such cutting edge, uplifting programs to counter all the political toxicity we face.
Characters are believable, sympathetic, idealistic, innovative and diverse; a wonderful set of role models! And the stories cover the spectrum of courageous approaches to solving a variety of problems.
