ABC Family has cancelled Ravenswood after one short season of 10 episodes. Though Pretty Little Liars is the cable channel’s biggest scripted series, the spin-off just never caught on.
Ravenswood follows a group of five young strangers who find their lives intertwined thanks to a deadly curse in a small Pennsylvania town. The cast includes Tyler Blackburn, Nicole Anderson, Britne Oldford, Brett Dier, Merritt Patterson, and Steven Cabral.
Debuting in late October, Ravenswood’s first episode drew a healthy 2.12 million viewers. However, many viewers must not have liked what they saw because only half as many tuned in for the second episode.
The cable channel tried to give the series a fighting chance by putting it on hiatus over the holidays and then by pairing it with Liars. That gave the show an initial boost but viewers fled once again the following week. The 10 episode season ended up averaging 1.29 million viewers.
The defacto series finale aired on February 4th.

10 of my friends and I have been waiting for the return of Ravenswood. They didn’t give it a chance, did they? We won’t be watching ABC’s new shows after this. We just might stop watching Pretty Little Liars,which I think is not as intriguing as Ravenswood. FYI We are all grandmothers, so what does that tell you about the demographics following this show?
I agree 100% I too are a grandmother and loved Ravenswood never really cared about PLL but thought I would give it a go since it was on before Ravenswood – but I will not watch PLL its boring and dumb – I can’t believe they said they are going to wrap up Ravenswood in a PLL episode – give Ravenswood a chance and bring it back for a second season.

Canceling Ravenswood really sucks. It was a better show than Pretty Little Liars which needs to wrap up because it’s getting boring.
They should have a season 2

I just don’t understand why they keep canceling these good shows like The Lying Game and Ravenswood when they are good shows. Just as good as PLL. I think they need to do a little more marketing and they wouldn’t get canceled.
