SundanceTV’s cancelled drama The Red Road will soon be available to own on DVD.
Both the first and second seasons will be released on DVD on March 1st, 2016.
Created by Aaron Guzikowski, the series starred Martin Henderson as a police offer who comes into conflict with Phillip Kopus (Jason Momoa), a member of a mountain tribe that lives between New Jersey and New York. The series was cancelled after its second season, which premiered in Spring 2015.
From TV Shows on DVD:
This past year, the SundanceTV-aired show’s first and then second seasons have been released individually on DVD, starring Jason Momoa (“Kal Drogo” on Game of Thrones), Martin Henderson, and Julianne Nicholson. The series ended after the second season, so now Anchor Bay Entertainment is releasing both seasons together this March 1st with The Red Road – The Complete Series on DVD. It’s not up for pre-order in the USA just yet (soon, though, we’re sure), but it is in Canada. Price there is CA$34.98 SRP, and you can pre-order it from Amazon.ca at a discount. Details and package art haven’t been released yet, but stay tuned for updates!”
What do you think? Did you watch The Red Road? Will you buy it on DVD?
Just found this on Netflix. What a great show. It’s a shame it ended in such a abrupt way. Should have continued series, it is superior to most shows on television today.
How can you expect people to buy a DVD of a cancelled series? Would you buy an incomplete manuscript for a book that just stops dead with unanswered questions and plot lines? I guess someone would and they count on the audience to buy just about anything!
