Last season, Revolution was the highest-rated show on NBC but the ratings fell throughout the season, even with The Voice as a lead-in. What will happen now that the show’s been moved to Wednesdays? Will it see a third season or will it be cancelled instead? We’ll have to wait and see.
Revolution revolves around the Matheson family and others who live in a world where there is no longer any power. The cast includes Billy Burke, Tracy Spiridakos, Giancarlo Esposito, Zak Orth, David Lyons, JD Pardo, Stephen Collins, and Elizabeth Mitchell.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/9 update: NBC has cancelled Revolution after two seasons and 44 episodes.
5/22 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The first season of Revolution averaged a 2.6 rating in the demo and 7.21 million viewers.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the Revolution TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for third season?
Please don’t cancel the show, it’s one of my favorite shows
Please renew Revolution and take the junk shows off. I love the show and it’s characters. The series always provides excitement and challenges in each weekly program. Please do not cancel this great show..
I love this show me and my wife and my children watch it every week please don’t take the shell off
I’m tired of getting into a show only to have the network cancel it after one or two seasons. No one know what they want out of a show except perfect ratings all the time. Its not realistic. I am very frustrated, and pretty much sick of NBC most of all. Fire the head of programming at NBC.
Another STUPID move by NBC. Now that this show is cancelled, there is NOTHING that I watch on NBC. Well done, well done.
I love this show. Why do TV stations keep canceling good syfy shows for reality shows that are far from reality? I hope another station will pick this show up. . . But like the 440 hundred, Kyle xy, and others, I am afraid it is just gone. Must TV always cater to the masses and ignore those of us who are tired of the same old worn out shows?
Hey, let’s not forget: Invasion Persons Unknown Threshold FlashForward as well as the classics: Roswell Firefly The fact is, nearly every SCIFI-ish series that comes on sees early cancellation. The people that the network executives don’t like SciFi, they want to see “reality” shows and crime dramas. They are as unimaginative as the bigwig execs. One would think they’d learn from the Firefly incident: Cancelled in it’s first (and only) season, it sold over 500,000 DVD sets in its first year of release, stayed on the Top-20 Amazon DVD list for 2 years and later released a box office success… Read more »
Typo, should be:
“The people that the network executives listen to don’t like SciFi”
Revolution is one of NBC’s best programming series! I suggest that NBC cancel some of the other “junk” programming and keep this winner!! Revolution is not one of the run-of-the-mill type shows…being different, unusual, thought-provoking, past and futuristic all at the same time. Perhaps another network will capitalize upon an opportunity to televise it. At least, I can hope…
I recently started watching the show, so far i love it i dont see how nbc could cancel this show its great! All though if NBC does cancel the show it’s their own loss so they needa get season 3 on and not cancle it!
This show has one of my favorites. I love the characters and I think the show is very worthy of a another season. I hope it is picked up by another network. Every show has its ups and downs. Please, please, please will another network pick Revolution up.It’s NBC’s loss.
I have watched “Revolution” from the first episode. It has been consistently interesting and stimulating from the get go, not to speak of bring the idea of a real hero back into the American television drama. It is not STUPID and INSIPID like most other series and the writing and acting has strength. I am truly disgusted it has been cancelled. Oddly, it is the only reason other than the show “Blacklist” which has made me watch NBC in many years. I sure have not been attracted by the “Voice” with the continuous self-adoration of its judges. Bring back Revolution… Read more »

I was never one to get into much tv but revolution always held my interest from day one. This is the one show a always looked forward to watching and I never missed an episode. Seems like when you get into a show it gets cancelled. Maybe another network will step up and save this one of the few good shows on tv.
The fact is, with the numbers of numbnuts who watch television today, any SCIFI-ish series starts with two nails in its coffin anyway. And why do these few families with Nielsen Ratings equipment get to decide what the other 99.9% of people watch?
One reason for the plethora of cancellations today, I believe, is the way a series puts out four or five episodes, then viewers are made to wait for four months to get a few more, wait… wait…
People lose interest or find something else to watch. What ever happened to 20 episodes in a year?
