Last season, Revolution was the highest-rated show on NBC but the ratings fell throughout the season, even with The Voice as a lead-in. What will happen now that the show’s been moved to Wednesdays? Will it see a third season or will it be cancelled instead? We’ll have to wait and see.
Revolution revolves around the Matheson family and others who live in a world where there is no longer any power. The cast includes Billy Burke, Tracy Spiridakos, Giancarlo Esposito, Zak Orth, David Lyons, JD Pardo, Stephen Collins, and Elizabeth Mitchell.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/9 update: NBC has cancelled Revolution after two seasons and 44 episodes.
5/22 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The first season of Revolution averaged a 2.6 rating in the demo and 7.21 million viewers.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the Revolution TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for third season?
Love this show! Please renew!
This is my favorite show in the whole world! I need a season three
My husband and I always love and watch Revolution!
I love Revolution and NBC needs to renew it now!!!
i work wed. nights, i watched faithfully every mon. night when it first aired. i watch it on thurs. morning on demand on my cable service. please do not cancel the show, its one of the best on tv.
My wife and I are addicted to this show and we make a point to get the kids to bed early every week so we can watch. I will not be happy if this show is cancelled. Not sure if anyone important reads these boards, but if so, NBC please keep this show!
Please review we love the show and watch it every week
I just watched the latest episode of Revolution which aired on March 12,2014 on the Internet. Shouldn’t my next day Internet viewing be included in the ratings?
Love Revolution!! Please don’t cancel it. Renew it for a third season and move it a more lucrative time slot.
I don’t know how many shows I started watching that got cancelled after the first season. they never give these SciFi-ish shows a chance. If they do decide to pull the string on it, at least offer it SciFi first. I thought Southland was one of the best shows on tv, I think it fought for every season it lasted, it had a great cast, great action and was well written. They need to axe all these reality cooking, dating, losing weight shows. Men watch tv as well.
Don’t cancel! Watch next day on internet! Best show out there. Can’t understand all the terrible shows that are still on! Revolution is unique and only show I watch faithfully
Love this show my Husband watch every week we are 50 and 51 please renew!
I agree that the demographics should go higher than 49. I am 56 and watch Revolution every week. Some parts of the story line are better than others, but overall, you are kept on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. I love it!
Please keep the Revolution Seasons coming! This is the best show on tv by far!Revolution has a brilliant plot, a great script and an extraordinary cast!
Please keep the show. Your demographics should not stop at 49. My husband and I watch it every week. We are 58 and 62. It is a great show.
I don’t get why people don’t understand the importance of demographics. The reason your opinion doesn’t count is the fact that advertising doesn’t work on older, wiser people. Advertising is the only way these shows can be purchased by the stations.
Since you are past the stage in your life where shiny things make you want to spend money… you don’t count.
There’s something wrong with that picture of demographics. Maybe the people in the 50-65 age range aren’t as easily tempted to buy shiny things; however, when we do want to purchase something, we have the money to do it!!!
