TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this show!!!! PLEASE keep it going!!
Just started watching Revolution on Netflix… Please don’t let it be canceled. Please bring it back. This show could actually go in for years! If the power does come back on, how would everyone “re-conform.” So many obstacles… The whole legality vs morality thing. It could take several seasons for balance to be restored. Would love to see it! Hello… Have been watching WalkingDead for how many years? Bring Regolution back!
I think we deserve to know how revolution ends. it’s not fair that we are loyal fans watching every week and not know how it ends. Please give us an ending. OR, you can just bring it back on.
please dont cancel revolution every time i get into a tv series they always cancel them if ur not gonna finish a story dont start in the first place Revolution is one of the top ten series i love so please dont cancel
Please don’t cancel it! I agree that the story was coming to a close. They were revealing so much information so quickly within two seasons that yes it look like it was wrapping up but don’t just cancel, leaving us hanging I hate when tv series do that. It makes sense if a main actor of the show dies and they can’t continue…but if there is still a way to wrap things up with at least one more season I say they should do it!
The Revolution has earned closure. Don’t just cancel. There so many ways you can end this series.
They are making 4 comics to put an end to this. The writers are kind enough to do this for the fans. Not the same, but better then nothing. At least me closure.
I don’t know who at nbc keeps bumping their head but this is why I do not like to watch regular tv any more. I once waited to see what was going to come on next. now I wait to see what is coming on net flix. ratings do not always tell the true story.
Would have helped ratings to keep #Relocaterevolution in the same slot on Monday nights. An 8:00 pm time slot was not appropriate as it is family hour an Revolution had grown up content and then keeping it off the air for weeks at time. NBC set it up to fail. But the fanbase couldn’t be silenced and while we would have loved a series it couldn’t happen at this time. We will get a 4 issue digital comic book closure partnered with DC Comics. First issue is May 2, 2015. It is my hope that this will be a hit… Read more »
You are absolutely correct. This show had a huge following but people didn’t know when it was coming on and there were so many breaks in between new episodes airing that people were confused and lost interest. It is quite unfortunate because it was the best thing on television, in my opinion.
Bring it back…… Its a very well written and scripted show. They have great actors. No reason to cancel this.
Please, please, please do not cancel Revolution or a least give it an ending!!!!!
Bring it back really liked the show!
Bring it back
Miss this show and the cast very much.
Please bring this back . . . it was riveting. Only one of a very few shows I have ever looked forward to seeing each week. Is there any chance another network will pick it up?
Bring back Revolution, it was an amazing show….Why get us hooked and then drop it….
Bring it back!!!!
Great series, absolutely gutted its cancelled, please rethink and please bring it back!!!!!!!
I do not watch TV but I like my Netflix I was so glad to see a refreshing series. It always would like to see it kept me wondering. I had a funny feeling I would not get the chance to see it from beginning to end. TV producers suck all they think of is ratings and not the great entertainment they give us. I would like them to bring it back on. I know on some shelf some where There are more seasons waiting for us.
