TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
I wish they would renew it instead of leaving its viewers with a sense of incompletion. I don’t understand the logic behind getting a viewing audience built up and then just cutting them off without completion. The Longmire series did this as well and was a great disappointment. I hope Revolution will come back..
Sincerely
Marla Sydnor
Longmont was picked up by Netflix and should have a new season out this fall. Google revolution comic and you will get a link to the 4 comic editions that create the conclusion. Not what we desired but the writers and Eric Kripke gave us closure. Would still live to see a movie or new series pice up by someone.
Best show on TV and some nut canceled it.
Bring back revolution
the company ,should give full refund to everyone that has bought the collection ,no series is good ,until you have a proper ending ,company don,t give a dam ,about people that has been watching ,most likely they ave run out of money ,and they d to look for another reason ,people ,should ,no watch any of their other series ,because they will end in the middle of season
I really enjoyed the show and was looking forward to it. I would like it to come back!!
Bring back Revolution!!!! Great show!!
I loved the series and was waiting this season for it. I enjoyed the characters and the acting was very good. I didn’t know it was cancelled. It was one of the best shows on TV. It’s time to bring it back. I’m tired of the stupid game shows, reality shows that are out there these days.
I have to get up very early in the morning because of my work. I had never watched REVOLUTION until I got Netflix. I watched every episode called my family and friends and now we are all watching it. I’ve seen it twice— and intentd to watch the entire 2 seasons again !!!! It’s one of the best story I have ever seen. I can’t stand the thought that we are all now left in mid air, I loved every minute of the two series. Why in the world is it being cancelled?? I’m very upset. Is the decision to… Read more »
Finally something worth while watching. Everything else you have is trash. I cannot understand why a show this good would be cancelled. I am sick of you Hollywood freaks. You are the scum of the earth.
when I fond out this show was cancelled I was so upset. I love this show. I know many people who also were upset. I look forward to this coming back on please renew the series. thank you.
It should not have been cancelled without some fitting resolution. But that’s the way the EggHeads over the studios do……unless it a series about a homosexual family or a worthless trash family that spend 60min fighting & cursing at each other. Maybe another Vampire/zombie based series. We need 8-10 more of those!
Really makes you wonder what goes on in those locked doors of the meeting rooms…….their probably acting out the episodes of the gay families themselves. To bad there aren’t any real Macho men or Butch Women in those rooms who enjoy shows like Revolution.
PLEASE do not cancel love this show and am now hooked on it!
Oh no! Please bring it back! Its a great show with an interesting storyline and believable talented actors!
It is hard to find good tv shows like this one. There are so many possibilities that can happen next. It should at least have one more season and more would be great
Contrnt inappropriate for an early time slot but well written and casted. It was one of my favorite network shows. I was looking forward to its return. It deserves a proper ending.
