Will The CW renew Riverdale for a second season? Recent news points to yes. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Archie Comics just signed a new deal with Warner Bros.
From Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Riverdale offers a dark and subversive take on the classic characters from Archie Comics. The cast includes KJ Apa, Ashleigh Murray, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, Molly Ringwald, Luke Perry, and Sarah Habel. Season one of the teen drama just premiered on January 26th.
Archie Comics’ exclusive deal with Warner Bros. Television includes the development of new series and projects based on the publisher’s catalog. This a good indication that Riverdale will be renewed for a second season. So far, the series has been a ratings success on The CW, earning an average rating of .47 in the 18-49 demo and 1.242 million viewers.

Riverdale is one of my favorite things on TV and has renewed my interest in Archie Comics. It’s the only show I have to watch live every week. If it doesn’t get picked up for a second season, I or someone else will start a petition or Kickstarter to make it happen. The ratings should include all the fans around the world who are watching it on Netflix or the CW app. You can’t just rely on TV ratings alone when so many people use other methods to watch it.
Both My Husband & I Have Been Long Standing Archie Fanatics To The Point That We Are Subscribed Online To Archie Comics. We Both Were Not Sure How This Would Translate In A TV Format, But I Can Happily Say We Are HUGE FANS Of This Show & The Darker Theme REALLY WORKS !!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK & KEEP THOSE EPISODES COMING BECAUSE EACH EPISODE ENDS WAY TO QUICKLY !!! LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT EPISODE !!!

Tried watch but it was not good I felt. Second season so fast????? I don’t think do yet. If anything indicates from last. Two shows, they better wait if higher ratings.
If there’s a second season, can it be revamped so it is less of a cracked-out mess please?
How about renewing some shows with REAL ratings instead of ones with pathetic ratings?
