What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, Rosewood follows charismatic Miami pathologist, Dr. Beaumont Rosewood, Jr. (Morris Chestnut). Although optimistic, as well as calm, cool, and collected, this Medical Examiner has two holes in his heart and will probably die within a decade. Joining him in his practice are his sister Pippy (Gabrielle Dennis), the toxicology queen, as well as DNA specialist Tarra Milly ‘TMI’ Izzicoff (Anna Konkle). He is close to his mother Donna (Lorraine Toussaint), who does not shy away from sharing her opinions while helping out. Homicide Team Leader Detective Ira Hornstock (Domenick Lombardozzi) oversees Dr. Rosewood, as he partners with the uncompromising Detective Annalise Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz), on the city’s toughest criminal cases. New to town, the mysterious Captain Ryan Slade (Eddie Cibrian) challenges the relationship between Rosewood and Villa, which is messy and complicated enough, on its own.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Rosewood averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and drawing an average audience of 3.03 million viewers. Compared to its first season, Rosewood season two is down by 51% in the demo and down by 37% in terms of average total audience size. Find out how Rosewood stacks up against the other FOX TV shows.
On May 9, 2017, it was revealed that Rosewood had been cancelled. Could it be revived somehow? Stay tuned for updates.
Telly’s Take
Dr. Rosewood may be charismatic but viewers aren’t exactly flocking to his show now that it’s been moved away from Empire. It was hammered on Thursday nights and has now been moved to Friday nights. Unless its ratings see some significant improvement, I suspect this series is doomed to be cancelled. 5/9 update: FOX has cancelled Rosewood after two seasons. Details here.

What do you think? Do you hope FOX will renew the Rosewood TV show for a third season? How would you feel if FOX cancelled Rosewood, instead?
I like the show would love to see it come back
We want our Rosewood back.
I really enjoyed Rosewood. Story lines and cast are great together. If you don’t renew it for a new fiull season, at least consider a few episodes to fill in during the holidays when most TV series are on hiatus
Omg!! Please bring the series back!!!! This was a great show! Always anxious to watch the next episode!!!
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring this show back – exceptional writing and character development is impeccable! I started watching season 1 and thought – interesting show but there has been incredible! This show gets better and better – never boring excellent interface between medical, social, and interpersonal relationships. I also enjoy how the characters grow and become a family – please don’t leave us hanging!!!!
Renew the show, PLEASE. I like this show, especially the interaction between all the characters. Plain and simple, RENEW. Thanks.
I LOOOVEEE this show! I love the duo of Rosie and Villa, they are amazing together and the entire team as well!! Please renew for a season 3… cancel the other stupid shows… but don’t cancel this one. Rosewood is an amazing TV show…. and you can end just end the show like that!!!! Where is the ending to it???? Will Villa and Rosie be together or not… COME ON!!! It’s gonna kill me ….always gonna keep wondering!!!! … Now I have to find another good show to watch. 🙁
Love the show why don’t they can eliminate all the stupid reality shows like Hollywood Housewives the Orange County Housewives the the Kardashians Bachelorette The Bachelor I could keep going there so many stupid shows out there watched TV to get away from reality.
I love, love, love Rosewood. And here we are again, another show cancelled.
Please, please give us season 3 and many more after that!!!!!
Honestly this show was Amazing to me. I purposely watched season 1 and 2 all over again after binge watching it the 1st time assuming that once I watch both seasons for a second time that the 3rd season would be ready to air, but come to find out the show is possibly cancelled and won’t return. This show taught me so much and it’s the highlight of my day I know I’m only one person but please bring Rosewood back. I love every single one of you guys on the show and would really appreciate if you guys were… Read more »
this is a good show
This is a good with good characters – why cancel it?!
I’m in love with this show. And I would be very disappointed if the show gets cancelled. I don’t care if it went to Friday because with all the other fox shows I watch that was something to look forward to on a Friday. I’d be very very disappointed if it’s cancelled because they leave us hanging over Rosie & the detective. I think it was the best show ever and it will be a big disappointment if it doesn’t come back
I agree with Jim below! The ratings were down due to the move from Wednesday night (as lead-in to Empire–a ratings bonanza!) to Friday night–more often than not a TV graveyard! I think they wanted this show to fail; thus, the move and cancellation. The show had so much more, especially with the love interest between the leads! Be still my heart as to Morris Chestnut. Shame on FOX! PLEASE RENEW THIS SHOW! IT’S NOT TOO LATE!!!
It’s amazing how fox cancel rosewood after moving it to a night were the ratings would go down. It’s seem like it wanted the show to fail. I’m getting to the point that I’m going to stop watching anything that comes on fox.
