The doctor is out. USA Network has decided to cancel their Rush TV show after one season of 10 episodes.
Rush revolves around a talented and handsome physician (Tom Ellis) who had it all — but then lost it in one fateful night. Six years later, he’s a private doctor who treats less-than-squeaky-clean clientele in Los Angeles. The rest of the cast includes Harry Hamlin, Larenz Tate, Odette Annable, and Sarah Habel.
Debuting mid-July, the first episode of Rush attracted 1.7 million viewers with a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Not a very good start. The numbers for later episodes went up and down and the season averaged 1.65 million with a 0.4 in the demo.
Satisfaction, another new drama, had very similar ratings and either show could have been cancelled or renewed. USA ultimately chose to drop Rush and renew Satisfaction. The defacto series finale aired on September 18th.

I guess it’s too late but I just saw Tom Ellis on the Strain playing a similar character to Rush. I would really really like it if the series was renewed. I only watched Satisfaction because it was on back to back. If one had to go it shouldn’t have been Rush. If it isn’t too late, please bring it back.

Such a shame Rush was cancelled! I’m surprised ratings weren’t higher. I was so hooked! I’m very disappointed!
I loved Rush. I was looking forward to seeing where it was going. It was the only reason I watched the USA channel. It should not have been cancelled. I’m very disappointed.

I got so mad when I found out that there wasn’t going ti be a second season. Very disappointed. I loved the show! I really would love a second season!

I wish we could have like more then 1 season of Rush like 6 more seasons , but if we can’t have that , I hope the actor who plays Rush does an excellent job as Lucifer this fall
