The doctor is out. USA Network has decided to cancel their Rush TV show after one season of 10 episodes.
Rush revolves around a talented and handsome physician (Tom Ellis) who had it all — but then lost it in one fateful night. Six years later, he’s a private doctor who treats less-than-squeaky-clean clientele in Los Angeles. The rest of the cast includes Harry Hamlin, Larenz Tate, Odette Annable, and Sarah Habel.
Debuting mid-July, the first episode of Rush attracted 1.7 million viewers with a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Not a very good start. The numbers for later episodes went up and down and the season averaged 1.65 million with a 0.4 in the demo.
Satisfaction, another new drama, had very similar ratings and either show could have been cancelled or renewed. USA ultimately chose to drop Rush and renew Satisfaction. The defacto series finale aired on September 18th.

I think Rush was a great show that just needed a little more time to really catch everyone’s attention. It certainly caught mine and I’m a 51 year old woman that is totally against drug use and/or abuse. Bring Rush back ! If I enjoyed this show, everyone will ! Shows like Rush get viewers by word of mouth.
My husband and I loved the show and were anxious to find out if they would RENEW…. So disappointed to know they arent renewing… Great show!

i seen the series this summer in italy on sky (fox) and i love it so much i’m so sad for no season two why dont? the best series aren’t always choosed for another seasons but who decided this?
I loved RUSH, kept waiting for it to come back on. I hate SATISFACTION, as it seems to condone cheating. I’m very upset that Rush is cancelled. I loved the actors and the story. I watch more USA than any channel and likely still will but wish you’d reconsider this decision and bring RUSH back. Thanks.

Darn shame! Great show, awesome cast, potential off the charts. Real disappointment to find out the show was canceled. In my opinion the wrong show was canceled – it should have been “Satisfaction”.
I loved the show. It really dissapoints me when a network starts a story and doesn’t finish it. Lost me on all shows now. Rush was a great show with character development, drama, and twist.
yes I would have at least went to season 2 and finished it like a 2 part movie I hate when y’all get us interested in a show and cancel it
