The doctor is out. USA Network has decided to cancel their Rush TV show after one season of 10 episodes.
Rush revolves around a talented and handsome physician (Tom Ellis) who had it all — but then lost it in one fateful night. Six years later, he’s a private doctor who treats less-than-squeaky-clean clientele in Los Angeles. The rest of the cast includes Harry Hamlin, Larenz Tate, Odette Annable, and Sarah Habel.
Debuting mid-July, the first episode of Rush attracted 1.7 million viewers with a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Not a very good start. The numbers for later episodes went up and down and the season averaged 1.65 million with a 0.4 in the demo.
Satisfaction, another new drama, had very similar ratings and either show could have been cancelled or renewed. USA ultimately chose to drop Rush and renew Satisfaction. The defacto series finale aired on September 18th.

Another good show cancelled!!!!????? All the good shows go and the rubbish continues…….Heartbeat was cancelled, yet Chicago Med with its weak storyline and bad acting gets a 2nd season. The family, Guilt, etc…..all gone
I think they should really bring Rush back. The show was awesome couldnt have asked for better. I want to go on a strike. Who do I need to contact?

Rush is an awesome show! This is what happens when they just take ratings from cable! They don’t take in consideration on Internet viewing..I watch practically everything on firestick and Netflix. Another great show bites the dust…boo

Rush was ******* awesome, way better than satisfaction…. I can’t stand that ****…you get a great story then just like that it’s cut for something more I guess politically and ethically correct (satisfaction ). I’m gonna guess that’s why cause by ratings Rush was better than satisfaction, so I’m gonna say Reason being they’d rather have a married couple with infedelity….say it’s More ok than a doctor that helps the community, as it went by it wasn’t just For the more let’s say wealthier community it open doors basically Wether or not the ways and methods may be ethically wrong… Read more »
Rush was amazing!!! So unfortunate no season 2 :(((( the plot was great and Tom Ellis played it well.

Why on earth would you cancel a great show like Rush. It was brilliant. The story line was good had all the ingredients for a hit, but you A/O’s pulled the plug to soon. Maybe another time slot something anything. But now he’s the devil. I rather see him as Rush. Bad move USA, but you’ve made many of them!

I haven’t seen this show before. I watched abut half an hour of an episode tonight, don’t know which episode it was. It was edgy, loved the bad boy doctor. Will see if another episode comes up and will watch that.
